Yo what if the gun harnesses the adaptive power of 682? Like it can then quickly and severely warp adamantium plating in such a manner that it causes severe injury, and have bullets that are drawn to the lizard's knees.
Me and a friend DID make an SCP thats an 'adaptive' rifle.
http://scpsandboxwiki.wikidot.com/tactical-gun
We fooled around with if it was ever fired at 682, all that would happen is that a little flag would come out the barrel that says 'bang'.

I like it; it has plenty of potential in the testing logs, but needs proofreading.
What happens if you fire it at the sun? v:v:v
What happens if you fire it at the sun? v:v:v
how about it fires several ICBMs. but because the gun doesn't actually do anything to the projectile itself, the ICBMs aren't activated when they're produced.
I don't like this bit of the SCP though:
Test Log ####-13
██/█/████
Subject: SCP-####
Test Coordinator: Dr. ██████
Handler: Agent ███████
Target: D-234772, target temporarily given civilian status.
Result: SCP-#### does not fire, no visible effect on target.
it reminds me too much of that sentient tank SCP.

Well the reason it doesn fire at a civilian doesnt mean its sentient. It means whatever company or person made it intended it to be used in a war situation. Typically you dont want to fire at civilians in a war unless you are a cruel heartless bastard.
We could change it so that instead of not firing it fires rubber bullets or tranquilizer darts.

that sounds loads better
Yo so what happens if the dude's a rice farmer by day and VC by night? Does it just kill the target when he grabs his gun?
Yo so what happens if the dude's a rice farmer by day and VC by night? Does it just kill the target when he grabs his gun?
I would presume that since he's unarmed for most of the day the gun would react with non-lethal force while he's unarmed, but when he picks up his gun it'll go for the kill as soon as he shows malicious intent.

Is it me, or all SCP authors keep trying to make their SCPs as grimdark as possible? Surely there are good SCPs that have an obvious and anomalous effect without endangering a house full of orphans if they are left on a table for as much as a second.

What about the Aussie spider or that British explorer sea slug?
We're gonna need a full version of that song.
Wow really? Thanks that's a great compliment! Because I really don't have any background in music and i just threw that together after much fiddling. Was going for a old science video sound. And the full version is exactly what you hear, its just that loop.
What about the Aussie spider or that British explorer sea slug?
Good god that spider was awesome.
One of my favourite modern SCPs, I felt genuinely sad when the researchers revealed they were human and he basically broke down because of the sense of scale.

tension and horror draws people in. without those, you need something else to get their interest. most writers at the site don't really know anything else to get people's attention, and the ones who do write -J's.
[sp]The cabin is actually a somesort of containment site which requires SCP-style of annual procedures in order to contain something[/sp]

Seriously, watch it. Because there's two guys in the movie that would have been the original inspiration for Dr. Clef and Bright had this movie appeared earlier.
Yeah, just saw it, it was amazing.
My favourite was the [sp]Angry Molesting Tree[/sp]

You mean the one that appeared in the [sp]elevator lobby murderfest?[/sp]
that sounds loads better
In my opinion there's some off things about the game, the smoky atmosphere seems awkward and out of place seeming there's no source to the smoke.
The red exploding barrels seem incredibly gimmicky and random, even small propane bottles or oxygen tanks would fit better and why not some acid? Seeming that 682 is actually contained in the stuff.
I would've also thought that anyone tasked with containing the crocodile of rape would be equipped with explosives but that's just my thoughts.
On the topic of the tranq darts has there been any occurrences of containment crews using them? I thought they were always equipped with legitimate weaponry.
Beside the fact he was just running around shooting the rifle for six goddamn minutes what would be the objective of it? Containing it in the steel doors? That would end up being incredibly fast seeming they're absolutely everywhere.
Anyway I'm just wondering where he/she/it is going with this, do any of you happen to have a link the blog or website for the game? Thanks in advance
I'm new to posting on forums, mostly I just browse, tell me if I do anything retarded please.

Check the[sp]namelist[/sp] for the different[sp]scp's[/sp] at that part when they are taking[sp]bets what scp will be selected[/sp]. I think there's a[sp]name for every scp[/sp], including one called[sp]Kevin[/sp]. A easter egg perhaps?

I know. [sp]Kevin[/sp] was described as a [sp]normal looking nice guy, one you'd expect to be working at Best Buy, until he starts dismembering people.[/sp]

The part where they █████████████████ was awful though. I mean, why would ████████ do that? And then ██████ with ███████████████████████████ Damn. The ██████████████████████████████████████████ was great though, I couldn't believe that █████████
[sp]I didn't watch the movie and this is all I see. This thread is starting to look like a redacted document with all the spoiler tags.[/sp]

[sp]What's the point of threads if you can't have little fun sometimes?[/sp] But anyway, I wasn't sure if the [sp]other sites were ritual sites too or just containment facilities.[/sp] I can't remember for sure. Didn't they [sp]fail or suffered a containment breach?[/sp]

Actually, what did you use to make and how?
I like how the best way to deal with most of the SCP's is threatening to throw them in 173's cell

I feel like I'm reading about an SCP here with all the spoiler tags.
Hah I'm glad you guys mentioned Cabin in the Woods
I mean, at first when I saw the movie I thought it was full-out horror/thriller from the trailer.
I'm guessing that's what the director intended
Then when you start watching, you realize it's more of an action/comedy
Troll director ?
I was initially pissed because I was expecting something scary, but then I began to accept the movie for what it was. NOT a horror movie but an action/murderfest
For that, it was an outstanding movie.
I loved the creature designs, and I instantly thought of SCP when I saw the whole facility underground.
They shouldn't have had the whole "ancient gods will destroy the world if you're not sacrificed" thing though
The movie would have been much.. cooler? .. if it was more just focused on a facility holding SCP-like creatures
All-in-all, great action movie, not so great horror movie.
It wasn't action nor murderfest, it was a satire on typical horror shit and was very good at it. I thought a reason like "We do it for fun" would have been even better than some gods.
Just watched it. That fuckin' merman, man.
