• The SCP Foundation - "Send in the D-Class!"
"A team of 5 D-class personnel were given class-B amnesiacs, then told that it was Halloween and that they would be progressing through a mock haunted house. Each one was then equipped with a different Halloween costume and a bag for candy. Subjects entered SCP-XXX and completed a tour without incident. Subjects described it as "pretty spooky." In a later test, the same D-class personnel were again administered amnesiacs and this time were told that they would be visiting "that creepy place from when [you] were a kid." Upon the entry of the test group, SCP-XXXX interior became a mixture of D-4873's childhood living room, the interior of a Denny's in [REDACTED], and [DATA EXPUNGED]. D-4866 and D-4912 immediately attempted to escape but were [DATA EXPUNGED]."
I think that last [DATA EXPUNGED] is pretty unnecessary. I mean, what, in the context of a living room, a Denny's, and a [DATA EXPUNGED] could kill them in such a way that the Foundation found the details too unpleasant to speak of? it's meant to make you think about what could have happened in a scary way, not in a "so how would that even happen" way.
I think it'd be really cool to have an scp game themed around replacing data in government files, etc to remove evidence of existing scp's. It'd be kind of similar to the hitman series, but instead of a poison syringe and fiberwire, you have white-out and a black marker. :v:
Makes me think of that game "Uplink."

I had that comment sitting there for an hour and a half, I wanted to finish it and close the tab and we all know how easy it is to slap a [DATA EXPUNGED] on there. ...Actually, that reminds me of Nobody
Makes me think of that game "Uplink."
Everyone with the Introversion Bundle has access to the source code of Uplink for free. It'd probably be fairly easy to mod missions to be of a relevant kind.
Anyone remember that SCP that was a bell that had to be stored in gelatin because hearing it ring would cause you to be stalked by some creature and eventually die of fright/sleep deprivation? I can't seem to find it.

I can't seem to find it.
I know of an SCP that kills you via sleep deprivation, but don't remember gelatin or a bell involved.
Rewrote an old SCP, made it good. Say hello to SCP-703 "Into The Closet" http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-703
You mean "Bll" from the CB game?
Thanks, that helped me find it. http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-513
SCP-093 would make such an awesome movie/short film in the "found footage" style.
Black Mesa was an independent research company, though. I find it much more likely that it would've been the Foundation to nuke that place, though killing all the scientists isn't exactly SCP style.
I would still like something on the level of Half-Life 2 for a game based on an SCP. Well, not in quality, but you know what i mean. Hell, if it was a bunch of short games piled into one big game, I'd be happy. And I'm not talking about the SCP-087 game or Containment Breach, where it's "Here the basic concept, go!". I'm talking about something that follows some of the stories on on the SCP site.
I think the SCP-foundation would make a more interesting TV-series, rather than a game.
Yeah you can't put all the possible outcomes into a game, but in a TV show you only need to work with the circumstances you create.
A web series would be good, because you wouldn't have to rely on a determined length like a TV show.
If it was made by a TV channel it would suck anyway.
I remember reading this one about a water nymph or something. The tests that were run on her kind of made me very uneasy. Seeing how she started off confused and curious and ended up completely mistrusting of everyone was horrible.
If it was made by a TV channel it would suck anyway.
Some networks aren't entirely shit; that or there are some real gems out there. Though, I get the feeling that if HBO got its hands on such a concept, there would be a lot more focus on intra-site relationships than the SCPs. :v:
Oh yeah the makers of the walking dead should make it XD
A web series would be good, because you wouldn't have to rely on a determined length like a TV show.
I think that's the best format for an SCP show, but barring a few gems a lot of web original shows tend to be kind of crappy IMO. unless someone new comes along to do it, it'll probably be condemned to horrible writing and big blockbuster effects.

I've been reading SCP for over a year now, I just now made an Wikidot account and I'm looking to apply. I've gone through all of the required reading but I'm still nervous to write my application, does anyone have tips as to what to include?
New SCP by me, SCP-1699-The Inferior Volcano http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1699 And my new tale, Individuality http://www.scp-wiki.net/individuality
New SCP by me, SCP-1699-The Inferior Volcano http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1699
Reminds me a lot of the Sad Man nuke.
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1015 Dunno if this has been posted before, but I really like this one. The whole "Midas Touch" idea can be pretty terrifying if you really start to think about it.
Guys.... Today I went to an art museum with school, the exhibition was Japanese modern art. This was there... didn't blink
I wonder if Izumi Kato knows how internet famous his sculpture is

So I just watched Cabin in the Woods. I recommend it to all SCP fans. The ending seemed exactly like I would picture an SCP gone wrong kind of movie.
So I just watched Cabin in the Woods. I recommend it to all SCP fans. The ending seemed exactly like I would picture an SCP gone wrong kind of movie.
I remember reading a thread on the SCP wiki about how their containment procedures sucked. :v:
