I don't get why they don't just drop 173 into a vat of molten steel and let it solidify.
Hey, maybe one of these days 173's gonna pull up a chair and tell all the D-Class and Agents and Researchers all over the land why it kills people, how it moves, and the cure for cancer and all ailments, ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity for all mankind.
Sure, it's practically impossible for that to happen, but it's not like it takes any extra effort to just keep it locked up in a box and send a dude in every couple days to keep the place clean. For even the slightest chance of anything beneficial happening, the Foundation would do whatever necessary.
Can someone link me to that spc that's a red pond that spawns terminators or something, I want to read the exploration logs again.

I'm sorry, the shark punching center does not hold any such artifact.

Also, since I like to keep this thread updated on my writing, here's what I've posted to the wiki since last time:

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-031 An SCP in the 0-99 block called "What is Love?"
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-821 An SCP about abandoned amusements called "Dixie Funland"
http://www.scp-wiki.net/seasons-pass A tale about SCP-821

How do you churn out so many SCP's in so little time?
How do you churn out so many SCP's in so little time?
It really is quite obvious.
He himself is an SCP.
We must contain him in a 4x4 concrete cell with 6 foot thick walls and a computer with access to nothing but the Foundation and SCP database.
The only SCP game that could be topping the charts IMO would be Grand Theft Auto V - Dr. Gerald Edition

An experiment authorized across the board by every O5 to terminate SCP-682 was devised. The experiment is as follows:
Dr. Gerald attempted to play the video game Grand Theft Auto V - Dr. Gerald Edition while driving a vehicle situated on a large treadmill located on the back of a large flatbed vehicle also piloted by Dr. Gerald thanks to the assistance of SCP-███. As the first Dr. Gerald drove his vehicle, the treadmill moved in an opposite direction, allowing the vehicle to stay on the back of the flatbed piloted by the second Dr. Gerald.
Both Dr. Geralds were wearing roller blades and SCPs ███ and ███, the "Always Untied Shoes" and "Never Buttoned Pants," respectively.
A containment tank securing 682 was situated on the flatbed.
The second Dr. Gerald piloting the flatbed drove across a specially constructed road created out of other vehicles which responded to the forward momentum created by the flatbed driving over them. Researchers theorize that this technically counts as Dr. Gerald driving all of those vehicles, second-handedly.
In response to this, 682 [DATA EXPUNGED], narrowly avoiding an XK-Class End-Of-The-World-Scenario by literally centimeters.
We should make a game out of this - Dr. Bright

What do you guys find to be the worst SCP
Mine is SCP-801

There's not many SCP's that legitimately scare me, but there's a few snippets from some that creep me out. Like this bit, from SCP-1981:
0:12:32 - Reagan: I've been to the steel mills of Alaska, and the cornfields of Nebraska. I've seen the derelict offices of Google burn with the window boarded up and the squatters inside them. I've seen the houses where they cut up the little babies. From coast to shining coast I have walked empty down drooling path <indecipherable> The decaying flesh of false morality poisoning our children. I have stood atop the mountain of this greedy earth, looking upon our beautiful pious pit, filled to bursting with the vast hands of helplessness.
It's just, like...
A house. Several, in fact...
...Where they cut up little babies.
Freaks me the fuck out.
And it's strange too, because I actually find 1981 to be pretty damn funny, like it's all just some sort of really fucked up editorial cartoon. But this little bit just gets to me.
It'd be cool to see an X-files esque show about SCP.
So much potential.

No I mean terrible.
No I mean terrible.
Oh right. Well most of those get taken down pretty quickly, so you're probably not gonna find any laughably terrible ones as much as mediocre ones that everyone else thinks are great.
I just saw the cabin in the woods, holy shit. If anything ever going to get close to being a foundation movie, it's that.

yeah, 999 was written by someone who had a tickle fetish probably, and there's literally nothing ominous about it at all
1548 was okay I thought, though it's odd that the pulsar knew how to pulse in morse
butt ghost is a joke SCP, what's there to hate?

Reading through the comments it looks like it used to be a LOT worse before it became what it is now. Evidently it used to turn you in to a super-horny furry.
Also I hate pretty much any SCP that's blatantly fetishistic. Like the giant pile of boobs or the milk that makes men get boobs and lactate or whatever the fuck it does. I also greatly dislike SCPs based entirely around odd things that someone might have found at a store, bizarre "modern art" decorations and whatnot, like the rocks with the teeth. Not saying those are poorly written, but the fact that this is just something someone found in a shop with a price tag on it and some hipster's signature on the bottom of it really just ruins the whole thing for me.
But the absolute worst one by far is the one about how the world used to be ruled by Sasquatches and how they used birds as cellphones and garbage like that before a "trickster god" gave Man the knowledge to wipe out the yetis and then everyone forgot except for the SCP and also they want revenge????
It just smacks of middle school level creativity and writing. Like yes this could be a creative concept if you weren't fourteen years old and if it made the slightest amount of sense.

There is no scp canon, don't like it downvote it and move on. Nobody is forcing you to read them. It's not like they're memetic or something
And to the first gyuy the sasquatch one is good, you're acting really close minded imo. Its rating seems to agree with me .

I still hate 682 purely because it's an alligator with an immunity to everything ever and trying to use another SCP to kill it cannot possibly work.

It was gonna happen at some point.
At least it's so well known that no one'll start making more invulnerable and annoying SCPs like some sort of epidemic.
I hate how some scp members just don't like anything ever and are just assholes who nit-pick the fuck out of everything.

"SCP is ours."
I actually like how SCP is handled, you'd not have such a wide variety of stories without the input from people with loads of different mindsets, interests, what have you.
Yeah some aren't my cup of tea but then I don't have to dwell on them. There's like a few thousand other pages to read.
[editline]20th November 2012[/editline]
The one thing I dislike is when they attempt-... I guess it's Lovecraftian kind of descriptions, but just fall flat. It works great for some stories, but then others just seem to use it like a crutch.

It's a necessary evil. Without their constant dickish vigil, the site would get flooded with Mary Sues and dumbasses and awful writers with no creativity.
