I would love to see someone do more recordings of some interviews with scps, or videos if they were very good quality
My favorite SCPs are sentient non-human ones, like the calculator. Actually, that just a thing I like in fiction in general.

Pretty sure it would be pretty difficult to do a interview with a sentient garage building.
Reminds me of Warehouse 13

more of the actual living creatures would be better
Reminds me of Warehouse 13
SCP Foundation game first, thought I really like Warehouse 13's angle of having most artifacts gain their power by great historical events, people, or emotions. Like how the doorknob from the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire absorb all the fear, pain, and anger from the trapped workers and burns anyone who touches it.

That's my favourite- and also "Science for the Science God!"

I think for an SCP video game, it would have to be split up into a three part FPS.
Part one would be a campaign from the point of a researcher. A mass breach would occur, and you would attempt to get out alive, and save yourself before the foundation glasses the site. Along the way you would encounter researchers, agents, D-classes and SCPs as friendlies, and for enemies, you would have D-Classes, and SCPs. For equipment, you would be able to make use of conventional weapons as well as SCPs.
In the second mode, you would be an agent, where you track down and attempt to capture SCPs. This would be a challenge mode, with no connected story, and each level would be a separate situation. Equipment (weapons and SCPs) would be unlocked with mission completions, and the Agent would always have a capture device based on the SCP they were after.
In the third mode, you would take control of a D-Class in separate experiments and tests of SCPs, in each, attempting to survive as long as possible/complete all objectives. This would also be a challenge mode, with the player taking control of a random D-Class every level. Equipment would be based on the experiment,

The Anthrax song is a cover of the original by Trust, which is the song in that video.
I was just thinking. What if Black Mesa... was an SCP site :aaaaa:
with the kind of shit they have there, it actually makes sense.
Someone should write an SCP about a videogame that will change to be exactly what the player wants. For me it'll be EVE, with an FPS ability, and a vehicle sim all in one.
In the SCP guide it specifically states that when designing an SCP it should be something you personally wouldn't want within the same building as you because it would harm/kill you.
It needs a drawback, perhaps it addicts you and you can't tell the difference between reality/the game and you basically end up dying because you can't stop playing.
Wow, I was reading a story about Dr. Bright, and he's kind of approaching sue territory himself. He can never die, nobody ever questions him, and the story literally says he is the foundation, and justifies the remark, too. The story says Dr. Bright is literally the single most important member the SCP has ever had, or ever will have, and therefore all of his actions are wholly justified on this ground.
Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth, frankly. The writing itself wasn't bad, I just feel like the person who writes Dr. Bright has some kind of obsession with making him the most interesting/important/powerful character in the SCP Foundation, despite the fact that it's supposed to be about the SCPs, not the scientists.
SCP-516 would make a cool pet.
I'd hug him every day and feed him fuel.

Um, a game that changes itself in an inexplicable way but isn't overtly harmful is exactly what a Euclid should be. There are too many SCPs that are hideously lethal Lovecraft or Stephen King-esque monsters, in my opinion. I'd like to see more of the strange (but not necessarily directly dangerous) anomalous materials.

A game of do whatever you want with no drawbacks whatsoever isn't something that makes a good SCP in my books. You shouldn't WANT to go near these things, that's why the foundation exists, to protect you.

maybe if it drew you into a state of psychological and physical dependence on the game, to the point where reality becomes blurred for you and you start to view the game as real.

Oh god, Experiment Log 914.
Name: Dr. Bright
Date: ██/█/20██
Total items: 5 20.3cm Little Pearl Vibrators
Input:1 Little Pearl Vibrator
Setting: Rough
Output: 1 Little Pearl Vibrator, bisected down the long axis by what appears to be a very sharp cutting tool. Provide a perfect cross-section of the item.
Setting: Coarse
Output: 2 D-cell batteries, pile of plastic pellets
Setting: 1:1
Output:1 fist shaped plastic vibrator
Setting: Fine
Output:1 much more complex vibrator, including reservoir tip applicator filled with unknown lubricant, multiple turning rings, and studs that pop out when the handle is twisted.
Setting: Very Fine
Output: 1 small black box, bearing a red button. When the button is pressed, everyone in line of sight of the object except the holder experiences an overpowering orgasm.
Note: The Very Fine has been confiscated by Oversight, due to potential for misuse.
Note: Dr. Bright has been forcibly removed from any further experimentation involving SCP-914, and all output objects have been destroyed. This is just getting silly. -Dr. Kondraki
Have you even read about half these SCPs? There are a ton that aren't dangerous, and a ton that are really useful with no drawbacks whatsoever. In fact pretty much anything that is 'safe' doesn't have many drawbacks.
Um, a game that changes itself in an inexplicable way but isn't overtly harmful is exactly what a Euclid should be.
You do know safe/euclid/keter are referring to the chance/desire the SCP has to be contained and kept away from society?
In fact pretty much anything that is 'safe' doesn't have many drawbacks.
Well, technically, this isn't true- safe just means it's understood and its behavior can be predicted. A gun or rat poison would be considered 'safe'. On the other hand, a gun that sometimes shot flowers and sometimes shot anti-tank rockets would be a Euclid, and one that levitates in the air and hunts people would be a Keter.
You do know safe/euclid/keter are referring to the chance/desire the SCP has to be contained and kept away from society?
use the locked box theory as SCP says:
Safe: if you lock it in a box, and you know nothing will happen, it's safe.
Euclid: if you lock it in a box and you have no clue what will happen, it's euclid.
Keter: if you lock it in a box and it breaks out of said box and fucking kills everything in sight, it's keter
