Personally, my favorite SCPs are the Items, like Schrodinger's Can Opener: http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-344 That stuff is really cool and gets me in a creative mood.

What happens if you put a piece of 682's flesh in a can and open it?It also says that all sentient organisms must be terminated before 32 hours.682 can't be terminated,so that would screw up everything.
Remember that short clip on SCP-173? [img_thumb]http://colemanimation.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/scp682.jpg[/img_thumb] The guy who made it has one about 682 in the works.
I've always imagined 682 as an over sized comodo dragon with six legs and some weird hair on his head. Also, very expressive forward set eyes.
I imagine him as sort of a skeleton-like komodo dragon.
So are we actually getting that server? It'd be the shit.
So are we actually getting that server? It'd be the shit.
yes we are, we had a fun time yesterday
Been reading some of the recommendations in here, some are really creepy, but the Safe ones tend to be a bit more fascinating and out-of-the-box. The Homunculus, 030, is pretty darn cool. He's a nearly featureless humanoid, only active in the presence of light, and assists in any activity where post-graduate level knowledge is required. It knows some ancient languages, and has taught the Foundation staff at least one previously unknown language. It has assisted in research around the Foundation, and would rather that than be let loose or become inert in darkness. It also requested its own materials and lab space for research. I want to meet it.
http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-401 Imagine the orders issued to the D-class in test #2. :v: Actually, both of the tests... it's just a difference of "Go fuck that tree" and "Go get fucked by that tree"
SCP idea, real life infinitely-complex reality-defying 3D mandelbulb that's about the size of a tennis ball.
SCP idea, real life infinitely-complex reality-defying 3D mandelbulb that's about the size of a tennis ball.
Wouldn't it just cease being complex at the atomic or sub-atomic level, or would it continue in a way that we are aware of but defies instrumentation? Even with the former option it sounds intriguing.
Wouldn't it just cease being complex at the atomic or sub-atomic level, or would it continue in a way that we are aware of but defies instrumentation? Even with the former option it sounds intriguing.
No, it's complexity continues to the infinitely smallest level, that's why it'd be an SCP.
Does anyone know the SCP number of that one D-Class that was found to be impervious to everything (Like 682) but ended up dying of a peanut butter allergy?
SCP idea- Goggles that can let you see timelines of objects. Like their trails, but in reverse.
SCP idea- Goggles that can let you see timelines of objects. Like their trails, but in reverse.
So you would see what is basically the "rail" the object is moving along?
SCP idea - a train tunnel that, when walked down by a lone person, seems a lot bigger than its location would suggest, being felt to reach far beyond what should be on the surface. However, if anyone, say, fires a flare off into the distance, it just hits the ceiling of a totally normal-looking (if somewhat dirty) tunnel and illuminates an equally normal stretch of track. But, if you leave the lights off and go by touch and propioception, you can tell it's a huge, huge room, with echoes reaching far. If anyone's a member, this hasn't been done yet, and they feel like it, would someone like to write this up? I'm quite shitty at remaining formal.
So you would see what is basically the "rail" the object is moving along?
More like onion skin in animation, but backwards.
Oh shit, a Transformer-like SCP would be badass. Maybe a good writer could pull it off like they did with bigfoot.

SCP idea, but most likely has been done before. A very old fountain pen, which has an old murderer's soul trapped inside. So when somebody attempts to write with it, the murderer's words are written on the paper. Prolonged use makes the user homicidal, murdering people in the same fashion as the murderer trapped in the pen. I think its pretty good, but its fairly easy to think of and I'm thinking its been done before.

I always pictured 682 as eyeless. Makes him so much... creepier.
there's already the "stream of thought" crayons, but i like this one too
Never read that one. What number is it?

Hey guys i made an addendum for something I didn't even write yet! [release] [t]http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/284/8/9/see_addendum_1a_by_bigorca107-d4betv7.jpg[/t] Addendum A A/1: This crazy motherfucker has some metalloid shit coming out of his goddamn back area. "Back area" is used to substitute the word "spine", since this asshole doesn't have one. I don't even fucking know where this cunt's mouth is. Or it's eyes. I think they're the dots in the front. Anyways, this floaty fuck grew some tubes and bio-mechanical shit out of his meat bits and into holes in the naturally-occurring metalloid thing. Apparently this resonates through [DATA REDACTED] and creates ripples between this dimension (the 3rd) and the tenth dimension, ripples that mirror each other regardless of the distance between dimensional membranes. Do you know what that means? 'Course you don't you autismal cunt. He just proved string theory, and he won't tell us why. He thanked us for letting SCP-████-1 complete the "automatan dream cycle" and "caress the fifth infinity" so he could end up in our dimension/universe or whatever the fuck we are relative to him. He seems humble enough, but I don't like him. I say we should treat him as if he were capable of an XK-type indecent. Everyone's been real pissy ever since SCP-████-1's "circuit" disappeared and the walls went all bendy, he may be a cognitohazard. Dr.████████, send an HCC3 unit with Faraday suits and DAMIG 5's. Make sure they have lots of spray foam, this thing's slow but it's strong. -Dr.██████████, Sector 90, Trans-dimensional Research and Observation [/release] This was done p much for fun, im tired and this is prolly really terrible ill read it upon the mroing
"He just proved string theory, and he won't tell us why." :v:
exactly
By the way, has anyone else spotted this recording on the article about SCP-682? Because I haven't seen it until now.
I know that was an old post but holy SHIT that was well-made.I always imagined his voice to sound like some sort of deep-voiced brutish creature(like an orc,but less angry, more quiet and more reptilian),but that may have just made me believe in the theory that 682 isn't a lifeform as we know it,it's psychic and comes from another dimension or something. Too bad he's going with the giant lizard design.Am I the only one who thinks he should be partially humanoid? [editline]11th October 2011[/editline]
I always pictured 682 as eyeless. Makes him so much... creepier.
He's described in a test log involving 173 as having eyes(when snipers destroyed said eyes so 173 could attack,he grew bulletproof eyes all over his body temporarily). [editline]11th October 2011[/editline] La la la browsing SCPs- http://www.scp-wiki.net/902-warning oh SHIT
