They should have Mr Deeds to go down the stairwell with a camera instead of D-class.
Send Dr. Gerald down on rollerskates
I just had this idea for the SCP-087 hl2 map: There would be several separate staircases which would be connected by the portals. One staircase which would include the beginning, the building where SCP-087 is located perhaps having some agents up there. And at the bottom there would be... ... well, the bottom that is described on the original SCP-087.
I'm thinking of cleaning this up, making a few changes, and adding it to the site. Good Idea or no?
Eh, it's been done but it could be interesting. Would you mind if I edited out all the non-SCPish things and cleaned it up a bit?

I'm not joking, and it's completely possible too (to a certain degree, there is a brush limit). However it would take a very long time to connect them. I counted the amount of flights in my map, and it's 10. Copying the whole thing and arranging it in a 10x10 square would produce 1000 flights, which isn't exactly a small amount.
-snip- or not
Idea: put an assault rifle into SCP 914 and set to 'very fine'. Anyone like?
Idea: put an assault rifle into SCP 914 and set to 'very fine'. Anyone like?
They've already done that with a Colt Python and the result was a predictable [DATA REDACTED] that had the effects of a strider beam.
And a theory on 0-87: Originally it was 200 meters long. one of two things happened: 1: 0-184 got into it and did its thing. 2: There was a child molester living in the room at the bottom a long time ago. The cries for help are his victim's screams and the face is his.

SCP-184 wouldn't explain the face or the screams, and a rapist wouldn't explain the size difference. Also
Initially, SCP-184 only extends the walls out, causing rooms to become much larger without adjusting the height of the room. This expansion continues until the original square footage has been tripled.

Eh, it's been done but it could be interesting. Would you mind if I edited out all the non-SCPish things and cleaned it up a bit?
Link to where its been done, also, go for it. I've read over it and it does need a lot of cleaning up.

Or, why not put the sentient T-55 through? [editline]21st January 2012[/editline]
Don't you mean and two things happened? Guys guys guys, it would be just as easy to make a room and the starting flight with a portal down the bottom that teleports you into another staircase that has portals at the top and bottom for repeating, and using logic entities to make the face appear randomly. [editline]22nd January 2012[/editline] Ergo,
They've already done that with a Colt Python and the result was a predictable [DATA REDACTED] that had the effects of a strider beam.
We should put a machine gun in on Fine. And a tripod in on Very Fine Combine the three. Foundation Striders. Those whacky splinter cell groups are now fucked.

And therefore a lot more unoptimized and taking a lot longer to compile :colbert: Mapping is the art of being a lazy fuck
We should put a machine gun in on Fine. And a tripod in on Very Fine Combine the three. Foundation Striders. Those whacky splinter cell groups are now fucked.
I think that could also kill some of the more durable SPCs.
I think that could also kill some of the more durable SPCs.
Though obviously not 682. I guess it would need to get shot by a strider and have a cold, which unfortunately it will always have the day JUST BEFORE they decide to test it.
Every time I read articles on SCP I keep thinking how amazing a movie about it would be, then immediately despair because it would be nigh impossible to get rights for everything you'd use in the movie since it's all made by different people

I think that a TV series would be more suitable, each episode would center around one SCP, maybe with others on the side getting involved as well.

Warehouse 13 is basically that, with good acting to boot!
There are so many SCPs; you could theoretically have hundreds of episodes, but not all SCPs make for exciting stories, I think.
Warehouse 13 is basically that, with good acting to boot!
One of the reasons I like Warehouse 13 so much is because it reminds me of the Foundation and SCPs.
There are so many SCPs; you could theoretically have hundreds of episodes, but not all SCPs make for exciting stories, I think.
True but some have very interesting stories. What was that one about the man who could go into other realities? He could be an entire series on his own. A containment failure with 682 or 076 would be worthy of a full length movie.
There are so many SCPs; you could theoretically have hundreds of episodes, but not all SCPs make for exciting stories, I think.
Yeah, they would just have short cameos or brief mentions in the episodes, with the main focus on a more interesting one.
I'd like it if it didn't focus on the exploits of a single character, instead having every episode focus on a single random group/guard/D-class/whatever, and their efforts in containing or experimenting on an SCP. It'd be sort of like the Twilight Zone, but with probably worse actors.

Subject is going about his business, he's in the midst of an activity or about to make plans for the future and then BAM he teleports at a highly inconvenient time and goes on some kind of adventure in the land of god knows what, only to teleport away from whatever danger he faces at the last minute. That is, if he were in the hands of bad writers. I could understand if an SCP series focused on a select number of SCPs though, and he was one of them so he would get his own episodes.
An episode on Doctor Bright, if done properly, would be comedic gold.
