Don't take game discs, just back them all up as ISOs and install some kind of ISO mounting tool such as DAEMON Tools.
Wouldn't no-cd cracks be easier? As long as they don't break LAN multiplayer.

Yep that works too. Though it's a good idea to take ISOs incase you need to reinstall. Same reason they recommend you take OS install discs and drivers too.

I get tired of steam games quickly, but Synergy/Obsidian Conflict and that Deathrun thing might be fun. Haven't played Gmod in a while either.
Still, I'll install multiplayer games like BF2 as Crysis Wars etc, just in case.

If the servers have "anti-cheat" shit enabled then that will result in you getting perma-banned from the game.

Messing with hardware at lan is a baaad idea, one of the people i went with last time lost 2 days of gaming as his network card broke, and another's PSU went bang because, well because it was shit.
