I wish there were more large LAN parties here in Canada, I have only met three people in the area that actually have a Steam account. Someone must bring along a friend with the stereotype jock voice, then tell him to move to the center of the hall and yell "DOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRKS!".
Screw the transporting a computer part, I forgot that I'm most certaintly getting a laptop. A good one as well. But where I'm standing right now I can't see if I have time or not, and I only want to if there are other foreigners coming, or someone I know from my friend list :D
Yap, I've read this on their page. But it seems that there's no PC for rent, right?
http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/about/tup/

Huh?
what the hell is all this about your game area do i just pick other game?
Specific areas are assigned to specific games, but they're not strict.
fuck yall ruff rydaz lan team gonna own you
Yes, yes they are. This time I was thinking about getting a big facepunch banner made, and I have t-shirt printing paper! So, we'll sort out buying plain t-shirts. Possibly sorting out leaflets and stuff. Remember to give them out shouting this.

How much money would you recommend someone to bring?
How much money would you recommend someone to bring?
I took £100 and that was plenty for food and drink. I'd take £250 if you want to spend some too.
Awww shit it's a 3 1/2 hour drive from where I am.
£100? Is food really extortionate there then?
£100? Is food really extortionate there then?
Booze.
Booze.
Obviously anywhere like this is going to have overpriced alcohol :argh:
Ugh, probably can't go until I have gone to some local lan party, which sucks. Bunch of tents in the field with a LAN and no internets. Parents, yay. FFFFFFFFFF
How the hell do you get power in the middle of a field? :psyduck:
Obviously anywhere like this is going to have overpriced alcohol :argh:
Just bring your own drink. I'll probably just bring a bottle of Jager and a bottle of Vodka, stash it somewhere and I'm set. Just buy mixers on site etc.
Alcohol prices weren't that bad tbh, food was pretty expensive though. If you want to sneak any alcohol in, just hide it in jolt cans. From i37 onwards they're going to eject anyone who is drunk and causing a problem, which is fair play to them, although they should have started doing that a long time ago
How much money would you recommend someone to bring?
well i had about £700 with me, but didn't spend that much lol. I actually kept a .rtf file of everything i bought from thursday till monday so i knew exactly what i spent and how much it was.
I guess £150-200 seems fair, never know if you'll get the urge to buy something there. Though I doubt I'll be spending much after the £90 entry :( I don't plan on drinking (much) and I don't eat much when at the computer anyway. I'm pretty sure I'll be going, first though I need to see if my friend will be able to go with, then I'll have to find a carry case for my rig.
If you buy the ticket during "early bird" it's only £64.
Excellent, I was planning to be booked by a fortnight, and early bird has about 24 days left right?
Excellent, I was planning to be booked by a fortnight, and early bird has about 24 days left right?
Yup. Which is good, because I need to wait for my paycheck at the end of the month :v:
How does security work? I don't want people stealing my computer.
