i hope you shoot yourself while wearing your bullet proof vest
A car impact's force is spread out quite a lot and the flexibilty of the duct tape could take it, however I doubt it would hold up very well to bullets because they're a lot more penetrative and piercing, which duct tape can't take very well.
it would have trouble with high caliber rounds that pierce armor anyway but like .22LR or pretty much any shotshell wouldn't be able to get through easily.
Try it on yourself when you test it, like that guy with the stabproof vest, that turned out great!
A duct tape bulletproof vest would have to be as thick as you, OP
If you're shot with a hollow point, you MAY be able to make a somewhat feasible (If not incredibly cumbersome) bullet resistant vest. A smaller, high velocity FMJ round, however (.223, 5.56mm) or any large, high velocity round, you'd be shit out of luck. [editline]06:12PM[/editline] You'd also need a hunk of metal under the duct tape, to try to not have broken ribs and ruptured organs. You'd be better off just buying a normal vest. [editline]06:16PM[/editline] Don't try it, though.
