I am looking for a car for my brother (and soon me) to learn to drive in, and I found this for about $3k

It's a Volvo 945 Classic from -98 with rust free exhaust, really nice half-leather interior, white turning signals, m90 tranny (manual) etc.
6 owners, tow ball, 134 hp
What do you think?
If it's like my volvo 240, it will never ever die on you.
Also turbo that bitch
I pretty much just graduated my high school, and will hopefully get around $100 to $250. I am probably going to buy a new k&n air filter for my 7th gen honda civic (I'm not decided if i want to get a filter for the stock box, or if i want try and blow $200-$300 on a cold air intake,) and change the oil and filter with better quality counterparts. What are other cool things i could do for my car with small (like $100) amounts of money. Things i might be over looking. I kind of want to keep this car stock, or at least no tacky upgrades.

My dad had a -95 one, it was great
Only thing that went wrong was the right headlight wiper motor which we had to change 4 times :v:
Also, it already has a turbo, but it's low pressure so it will probably be changed
do electric cars use oil?
I'm guessing just the oil for the gearbox and small amounts for bearings and such?

2-300$ for a cold air intake ? Waste of money. Make your own, way less expensive, gives the same results. And unless you do a FWI, you won't see much differences between "Cold air" and "Hot air". And for example, on dyno, a "HAI", the results are better performance than a CAI.
Will probably cost you 40-50$ to make if you use a off-brand cone filter, or 70-90$ if you use a K&N cone.
And for god's sake, do not even think about buying a fart cannon.

if you get a fart cannon exhaust on your civic you will be just like anyone else.

$2000, 350, posi traction, auto, power windows, locks and a in dash DVD player :v:
I all ready talked to him. Learned that it's got a few dings and dents but it's minor, it's got a LOT of new parts with recipts, engine partially rebuilt and other shit. Apparently the interiors kinda shitty but I'll see pics tomorrow.

Dude I've started searching other county/areas outside of south Florida and as long as it's not too far it really opens up your options. I'm not a huge Camaro fan, I'd rather a Trans Am but till then...this.
I'd love this. Even more if it had a 350

Ah, I've wanted a camaro for the past 4 years now, that's really why I got my part time job.
But sadly I still haven't saved enough to pay for insurance :(
Well start looking around south Florida, there's a lot of cheap camaros here

Go big or go home man.
Have I found the car for you,
http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/2735549422.html
Looks sick.
I saw that and I want it. There's so many cars I would totally buy and work on but my parents would never allow it
if you get a fart cannon exhaust on your civic you will be just like anyone else.
I would never get a 'fart cannon,' i said no 'tacky' upgrades. My fear is that if i try and make one myself, it will look like shit. I'll do some research and look up some guides and stuff and decide if that's what i want to do. Already at this point though, i'm convinced not to buy a kit. I didn't really know it was that much cheaper to diy.
Let's see. Some new cars at the Detroit Auto Show worth mentioning!

The new dodge and ford look bad.
And is Scion actually making a good car that isn't Fail wheel drive?

It's the triangle, isn't it?
And yes, the Scion is RWD. It IS a good car. There are videos on youtube of it drifting.

For the ford, it is the whole design and the rims, the older design was fine.
The dodge's ugly front grill and rear lights, combined with the general design, as well as the name of a old car my mom hated back in the day because it was terrible from her years of experience with it.
Also I'm surprised scion / toyota is making a rwd sports car again. (excluding lexus)

New page
I think they chose the wrong name for that car. Not many people liked the Dart back in its day.
Is that scion the same car as the new toyota gt 86?
Every Scion is a Toyota, and yes, that's the car. It'll be the version us Amerifags get.
I don't understand why car manufacturers do that.
I know, right? That's like the whole Honda/Acura thing. We get the Honda Integra, Honda NSX, etc. as Acuras and the only difference is the badge.
Well, and the American Integra got a funky nose too.
[editline]10th January 2012[/editline]
At least we got a sneaky Nissan Skyline out of it.

So, uh does anyone know anything about coolant/anti-freeze leaks? specifically fixing one?

Sold as a Nissan Skyline 350GT over here.
A softened up version of the 350Z I guess.
Every year I hope to see a Prelude conect from Honda and it never comes, gutted. Someone faked a Prelude conecpt which would be a cool motor:

The new genesis coupe is nice. 350 hp and 300 torque!
