Is it normal (healthy) for my honda engine to make an audible ticking(not knocking) noise that rises with revs? It's not that audible from inside the car, but you can definently hear it from outside. I tried taking a video/audio recording of it with my phone, but the sounds are completely inaccurate and exaggerated in the video.
I, personally, have not over revved it. It's made the sound since i got it. It kinda sounds like a diesel, I'm just assuming it's the valves because i don't know. Should i be concerned?

Very normal, they are bad about going out of adjustment on the valvetrain. It's nothing to worry about too much, just a lot of racket. A valve adjustment will fix it and is very easy to do. I've done a valve adjustment on every Civic/CRX I've owned because the ticking was driving me nuts. When I first got my Civic hatch running the ticking was so loud you'd think it was a rod knock starting to happen, one lifter was WAY out of adjustment. A constant THUNK THUNK THUNK could be heard from the head.

I've got the last of the parts i need to fix my Team Associated RC10GT coming in the mail. It lost signal to my remote and hit a curb at full speed. It broke the fuel tank, and front wheel. The engine was also leaking badly at the time of the crash, so i ordered new gaskets for it all around. The diff was also bone dry, so i got some lube coming for that.

Alright that's good to know. Will it cause damage or wear if i don't have it done any time soon? I don't have a job or money at the moment, but i am hoping to change that soon.

And from that to what it is now I'd say I've put a lot of fucking work into it. New head gasket, timing belt, head was redone, all new o-rings for the injectors, new oil pan gasket, new dizzy o-ring, new plug wires and valve cover gasket (Japfeiffer bought those), all of the turbo kit was BRAND SPANKING NEW, the piping and intercooler had been used but not even under boost (someone used it for an interfooler).
I meand, fuck, I dunno. I'm probably getting way too mad about this.
But when you put a lot of time into a car and then someone asks to buy it knowing what the fucking ad says and then specifically calls me out, saying I pulled a fucking shortcut and just slapped a turbo on a worn ass Honda, I get pretty fucking mad.
This car has been my blood sweat and tears for several months now and if you don't fucking appreciate that you can piss off and buy another god damn car. Go find someone to fuck you because that's obviously what you are looking for.
People are assholes man, sometimes you just gotta take it with a grain you know? People talk shit about my rex all the time when they don't even fucking know what kind of car it is, just because the paint looks like shit. Doesn't help when they don't fucking know anything either, like that guy sounds like

The Cobra comes out of the garage tomorrow, and the Cobra also goes in the garage tomorrow. I hope to have my exhaust, radiator/supports, and most of the wiring out of the way by the weekend after this. I want to have the engine out soon.
