I really hate it when things this scripted are called 'gameplay' demos.
Derp read that wrong
So basically, they found someone cheaper?
He turned them down, not the other way around.
I really hate it when things this scripted are called 'gameplay' demos.
Well it is gameplay. I don't know what else you're expecting.
I really hate it when things this scripted are called 'gameplay' demos.
They need a method to show off the features in a controlled manner so that users and the press can actually see what's going on and appreciate some of the changes or technical features. People complained about the fucking DooM demos too, but the nVidia "demo" was a shit example of showing people the game as it was so fast you couldn't really process what was going on as a viewer in the same way the guy playing it would. Hence the slow, methodical one they first showed. It shows of the environment, tech and features in a way where you can actually take it all in.
lol we russians now Despite that the game looks absolutely lovely.
Cyka blyat, comrade, hail Putin.
This whole intro sequence reminds me alot of HL2, eastern European vibe with all the dystopian/advanced technologies. And my god is it gorgeous.
Didnt they get the art director from HL2? Or maybe dishonored got him. I forgot.

Non-lethal takedowns still give more points than lethal takedowns which makes no sense from a game design standpoint since lethal takedowns are more difficult as they make more noise. So just like in DX:HR, there's absolutely no reason to do lethal takedowns. Other than the more gruesome and satisfying animations. It makes no sense that the easier option, which accomplishes the exact same thing (actually more because you get achievements for playing non-lethal), would give you more points.
When you knock someone out non-lethally, they can be woken up by other NPC's, that's about it.
At least in HR this was a total non-issue since you could just drag them into a vent.

Maybe two extra Praxis kits in the first game.
