How is that supposed to make sense? At least with it being an accident that just happens to turn them human shaped, it's, well, an accident. It's silly, but it's within suspension of disbelief because "woOoOoOoOo [I]radioactive mutations are crazy[/I]".
But on purpose? Why would anyone purposefully go "Our plan to fight crime and corruption in the city is to make 4 humanoid turtles with ninja agility that will beat up criminals"? How would anyone seriously think up that plan?

Looks cool to me. Seems like Transformers with more personality. You really can't expect much from a TMNT remake produced by Michael Bay. Just a bunch of cool shots strung together with some humor.

To be fair, they were explained in the original stuff as being turtles modified by the Ooze shit and getting human DNA or some magic science garble.
Probably gonna end up like Transformers, looks like shit but wont be that bad, and will look like a godsend when the sequel comes around.

I'm really perplexed as to how people can find anything he does pleasing, be it aesthetically or otherwise.
He isn't very good with his cinematography and the way he constructs scenes is literally child-like in nature.
