To be honest it looks just like a graphic mod for killing floor.
I hoped there would be something to deal with some repetetive KF gets after two hours.
I hope there are some battle rifles/semi-automatic rifles. The guns look fun, but I'm hoping for a rifle suited for players with an eye for accuracy, like the M14 EBR.
I think the version of the game they're playing is limited to Berserker, Commando, Field Medic, and Support. Tripwire has said in the past that there are 10 perks or something, so Sharpshooter will still have the long-range accurate stuff.
Medic for best class.
Medic+Beserker best partner pair up.
that musical grunting players make when they're wounded is gonna get really old really fast
I wanted them to improve the enemy AI to allow enemies to do more, like let crawlers crawl on walls like in the teaser, add more level intractability for players/enemies and generally improve on the whole chaotic death metal slaughterhouse theme the game has going. I played a ton of KF1, but even with it's satisfying gunplay it got boring. People who played the first game a lot won't play this one as much, I believe.
Perhaps this gameplay video doesn't do the game justice.
I have to agree with this. It feels like the old KF1 with a new coat of paint in all the areas, without enhancing the formula of the game itself. I was hoping that it'd look like it would play a bit different, better, than the original game.
Shame the trader is just a pod now. Would have been cool to give it some more personality.
Oh my god their currency is just DOSH
Cool.
Release date? :v:
Those firing sounds are gorgeous.
Shame they didnt show much of the support player
I hate when people in front don't crouch, reason why I stopped playing KF (that and all my friends switched to other games).
Oh fuck I just realized all the guns are using a collective ammo pool instead of separate magazines...
man i have to get this game but I feel like its gonna run like ass on my computer
Yeah, I'm concerned that even the computers that they have couldn't consistently pull 60fps.
that musical grunting players make when they're wounded is gonna get really old really fast
Even in the video the grunting repeated quite a lot. For the amount of effort they put into the sounds of the guns and what not, they could put a little bit more into injury sounds.
I like how they call the ka-bar "KF-bar". Although the gun nut in me can't help but notice the "SA80 L85a2" is actually an L85a1. Still all looks really nice, liking the new music, love the color muting effect for zed time, character specific voices is nice too, and it looks like they're bringing back a lot if not eventually all the weapons from the original.
Oh fuck I just realized all the guns are using a collective ammo pool instead of separate magazines...
that's how ammo worked in kf1 too, it was just displayed on the hud as magazines, but if you reloaded a half-used magazine you still had that ammo
There's something I just love about the idea of there being a game where I can say "hold on, gotta reload my sledgehammer".
I'm really sad this isn't being released on Xbone
I am pretty giddy for this game, haven't been giddy for a game in years.
I really love the multiple reload animations. The fact that the characters don't just drop half-empty mags on the ground and keep them instead is amazing, I can't remember any game where I've seen that before.
that's how ammo worked in kf1 too, it was just displayed on the hud as magazines, but if you reloaded a half-used magazine you still had that ammo
Oh wow I never realized that because the mod used magazines so I always emptied my bullets before reloading in KF1.
that musical grunting players make when they're wounded is gonna get really old really fast
The semi-quiet low quality audio clips of a single dude screaming didn't get old really fast?
Awww, no quirky cockney from the first game? I hear there are british VAs but somehow it won't feel like Killing Floor without the VA from the original.
[editline]28th March 2015[/editline]
I'll still buy it of course, but I'll miss spamming "LOADS A MONAYYY"
Call me boring but I'm absolutely loving this change. I like serious games and the random, exxagerated british voices shook me pretty hard the first time I played KF. I thought someone activated a joke mod because, while it was pretty funny, it was out of character with the whole "flesh eating clones with meat grinders attached to their dicks are coming at you in a wrecked, burnt up London city block."
I might just be a complete fucking buzzkill but I hope they don't put the old voices back in. I'm really appreciating the more mature approach to their voice acting.
that musical grunting players make when they're wounded is gonna get really old really fast
They are very distinguishable though, which makes it easy to hear when a friend is in trouble.
I know its been said before, BUT THOSE RELOAD ANIMATIONS MAKE ME MOIST
They've been doing a poll for a while asking people if they wanted the original voice actor back, so I assume they'll be putting in those quirky voices soon enough.

Will there be a poll for whether people want the movement speeds to be faster?
looks nice, but is that a 2-weapon limit? kinda rules out some of the more fun combos and depth from kf1
probably to be easy on console controllers =/
To be honest I actually... Like a 2 to 3 weapon limit in some cases. So long as you can easily drop one for another.
at times it forces you to think about what you are carrying. It's AMAZING in loadout, and extremely nice in tf2, and dead space 3, in other things not so much. there are many games where it just feels off.
Do I want to carry a sniper rifle and a hand gun? is this what I want? Or should I go with something medium range? maybe a missile launcher would be nice.
it makes you think about what could have happened if you had a different loadout in the game.
Will there be a poll for whether people want the movement speeds to be faster?
don't know, the game isn't out yet obviously. There will probably be people weighing in on everything, like how if you aim down sights, the bullets magically fly into the center of them instead of below like a real gun, things like that, that should be fixed before the game is fully released. Remember that since only 4 out of the 10 perks are polished enough for early access, or even complete at all, the trial periods will likely be very long, not some bs 2 week beta test.
wasn't even a big fan of KF1 and I'm stoked for this on the basis that it looks like a damned good game where both a lot of effort, and love went into.
I'm sad to see they didn't get rid of the annoying slow-downs.
I'm sad to see they didn't get rid of the annoying slow-downs.
thats uh, a big part of the game.
I'm really sad this isn't being released on Xbone
Oh it isn't? That's sort of an odd decision since it's launching for PS4.
Guessing Sony paid them a bunch.

They should've gotten rid of the zeds too, those are so annoying and kept killing me
