They're not that bad jesus christ, just enjoy the footage.
Those usually have big improvements in every aspect, this one falls short so far.
I'm sorry, show me an example of a sequel with big improvements in every aspect so that I could get the picture you're painting in your head. [editline]30th March 2015[/editline]
I'll play devil's advocate as to why the PC Gamer folks suck ass at the game. I'm willing to bet it's to do from a marketing side. The reason why they're sucking is on purpose in order to make the game look intense and challenging. What would you rather play? A game where it looks easy as fuck to wipe everything out, or a game where it looks like it's a massive challenge to even get past a point in it? I don't know about you, but I personally prefer a game that is challenging over one that is just a casual romp. [sp]In reality though, they probably just really suck ass.[/sp] [sp]In even more reality, maybe the reason why they seem to suck is because of something I like to call "Dark Souls Syndrome", in which people think they're better than the people they watch play a game that they like, when in reality, if they were to do the same thing, they'd get a lot of people saying they suck at the game as well.[/sp]
Intense and challenging is when you change to the difficulty if you can keep up with it.
Oh fuck I just realized all the guns are using a collective ammo pool instead of separate magazines...
Huh, I forgot the first game did that. I want that feature back in KF2.
Huh, I forgot the first game did that. I want that feature back in KF2.
Killing Floor always used a collective ammo pool instead of separate magazines.. If you have 6 spare mags, you can shoot once, reload, and still have 6 spare magazines left..
They're not that bad jesus christ, just enjoy the footage.
They could've done worse, really. Except using weapons for the wrong perks, that's inexcusable.
I rather see the capabilities people can pull off. They're suppose to be marketing toward gamers, it would be a lot cooler to see someone doing awesome things then a game looking hard. And most people buying games probably have experience with other types of games so they shouldn't be playing at this level. I like to think I can pick up a game, learn the mechanics, and play pretty good immediately. Which is probably part of why I don't like seeing people have no idea what they're doing when showing off games.
I have to agree with this. It is really frustrating to watch someone do something when they are fairly inexperienced with it. They take a long time, and especially on puzzle games where you know the answer, it is excruciating to watch them flounder around clueless on what to do. I'm sure we can remember the pain from that iJustine video of her trying to get through the beginner rooms of Portal 2. In contrast to this, I remember watching this early gameplay of Uncharted 3 with some guy on this sinking ship. While he was going through the level, he seemed to know exactly how to do the fights, as well as where to go. Because of this, the pace was fast and the tempo was consistent, which kept me engaged and interested. I never did play the game as I never had the opportunity to, but if I ever do get the chance, it'll probably be one of the first ones in the list as it had left a positive mark on me.
Is it me or does the gore system not to seem to be in effect? Like the gore is a lot more simple looking than what they showed in the tech trailers. I am just seeing heads or full limbs popping, no "100" or whatever different spots you can take off.

It's just a little difficult to notice because the game is so fast paced and hectic.
because they're all using assault rifles and pistols, not sledgehammers and explosives.
You'll probably definitely notice the gore effects when you're mowing down a horde with the AA12.
[editline]29th March 2015[/editline] for whatever reasons these clowns keep going for body shots. you can see near the beginning of the video ~0:45 headshots do a lot of damage. it's just that these guys have shit aim.
haha, the waddling bloat at 1:03
My only issue so far is that the HUD looks really nice except for the health and armor bars that float around. I don't like the colours they use for them.
My only issue so far is that the HUD looks really nice except for the health and armor bars that float around. I don't like the colours they use for them.
Considering the retail game's customization of hud and such, they might let us play with that.
Considering the retail game's customization of hud and such, they might let us play with that.
Even if they don't, we're getting modding capabilities, so someone will eventually allow changes to the hud.
