Does any one know of any easter eggs in the movie besides the X's and numbers.
Does any one know of any easter eggs in the movie besides the X's and numbers.
beginning title sequence with all the actors represents their character in someway
THIS MOVIE IS FUCKING AWESOME! caps
I love the OST. Especial the songs "Black Sheep," "Threshold (actor ver.)," and "We hate you please die." Black Sheep Threshold We Hate You Please Die
Such a fantastic movie. The books are (as per usual) way better, they expand much more on Kim and nega-Scott...But both are fantastic :) Also, Anamanaguci...fantastic music.
Found the box set for the graphic novels, totally awesome. http://www.amazon.com/Scott-Pilgrims-Precious-Little-Boxset/dp/1934964573 It comes with a poster too.

Sounds good! I'll probably buy it before the end of next week. Edit: It seems though that if I order all 6 comic books separately it comes down to 40$, is it worth the extra 5$?
I bought the collectors edition 2 disc. I'm in love with this movie!
Release dates couldn't be worse. Here the movie get's released in cinema the exact same date as Harry Potter :/
Because Scott Pilgrim will totally win over that UK boy that can shoot lightening bolts out of his stick.
Amazing movie of this year, very amazing. Recommended to those who laugh at awkward kids.
I cannot stop listening to these awesome songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jMruFHTwrY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwbRfuuhmaI
The beginning of the movie was much more interesting to me than the ending. Not storywise, but just the feel of it was better. This of course being the movies fault, and not anything to do with scott pilgrim.
i really hate the faces in this art style
hey everyone who disagreed this i have mastered your favourite comic style honestly it's awful i mean i like simple and cartoony but this is just badly conceived
That looks nothing like the comic's style. Take some art classes, come back when you can appreciate characterization.
That looks nothing like the comic's style. [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline]
Macaulay culkin is a weirdo. I was watching Scott Pilgrim and I said "Gee that gay kid sure does remind me of Macaulay Culkin" and things got a little weirder when I found out that gay roommate is actually Macaulay Culkins fucking brother. It was like macaulay culkin was actually in that movie.
I'll also go on to say that -for the record- Kieran reminded me of a sickly, slightly younger Toby Maguire
One of a kind film. Was like watching a video-game.
That looks nothing like the comic's style. Take some art classes, come back when you can appreciate characterization.
it's not characterization it's just a bad art style. the rest of it is fine, it's just the faces that suck. and it is exactly like the comic's style, its exactly the same as scott's face in the panel posted (but with mspaint greatness). draw a head around it and bam i understand u like the comic for it's funniness or story or whatever and the movie was alright in that aspect (although i found it rarely funny) but you can't deny that the artstyle in the comic's faces is just awful. it's like a 10 year olds interpretation of anime [editline]22nd November 2010[/editline] i am not hating on the movie or the comic itself just the terrible faces
I actually liked the faces. It's amazing how he can draw emotions on them with such a minimalistic art style.
there are so many ways to do that better. i'm not knocking minimal cartoons. i'm knocking this bad example of minimal cartoons that is ugly looking and badly drawn.
Rusty hates everything I like :saddowns:

I think the simple style really adds a lot, lets the artist show a wider range of emotion.
Haha, I answered some questions in a contest 2 months ago, about this film. Though I haven't even seen it, the questions were so easy, so I thought "what the heck". Today I went to get the mail, and it turned out I had won. Will post pictures.
Well then that's a matter of opinion then. I think the simple style really adds a lot, lets the artist show a wider range of emotion.
Now that is just stupid. If anything, it does the exact opposite.
Now that is just stupid. If anything, it does the exact opposite.
It's true though, if he put more detail into the faces, it wouldn't be as easy to present those recognizable expressions.
It's true though, if he put more detail into the faces, it wouldn't be as easy to present those recognizable expressions.
I'm inclined to agree with you on this one. Most comics today put heavy focus into the character's facial expressions and detail all they can on them. One of the refreshing things of Scott Pilgrim (for me at least) was seeing a more simplistic art style, which worked for the comic, and it's overall tone.
there are so many ways to do that better. i'm not knocking minimal cartoons. i'm knocking this bad example of minimal cartoons that is ugly looking and badly drawn.
There's nothing wrong with the style. He manages to keep simple looking faces while still giving all the characters their own unique features.
I haven't seen the movie, but Nintendo Power had an article about the video game references they loved in it. It was really boring, so Star Wars sucks". Okay, maybe not as extreme, but you're still pretty dumb.
No, I'd say that's still a pretty good analogy.

A more apt analogy would be if every picture from the Star Wars magazine had Jar-Jar in it.
