The only thing in the movie that made me kept watching was Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Do show when you're done or now whenever
I'll scan it tomorrow, it's awful imo but whatever :v:
I dunno if it has been said, but my favourite song in the whole movie: WHY CAN'T I STOP LISTENING?
Because it's an awesome song.
Over the weekend, I read the books. I must admit, the books are a LOT better than the movie, but the movie is still fucking amazing. I don't like how the movie cut out many things (which I understand isn't avoidable), but I think they should've emphasized some more of the key things, like Knives's creepiness after you know what happens. I also wish they kept the heart hilt on the Power of Love sword. :< Other than that, it was very good. I think Michael Cera nailed the awkwardness of Scott, but that's about it. He didn't have some of the cockiness that Scott held in the books. He just didn't seem right for the part during the fights. Also I love the whole puck-man thing.
I rewatched the movie and I can't stop listening to this song the Clash at Demonhead played. Even though there is a real version sung by Metric, the Clash at Demonhead version sounds so much better. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut8el9G7c48

Apparently there's a bunch of unreleased songs for the film, just like the "Having No Fun" song when Scott crashes Gideon's place. I'd petition Edgar and Co for some bonus songs to be released on itunes at least, or something similar for fans.

Pretty good singer too.

I must have misread that cast interview then. I know for sure that the band re-recorded it for the film, and Envy is pretty much inspired by the Black Sheep singer... maybe it was just the band w/ actress then.
Overrated teen film.
Overrated teen film.
nice facts you got there to back up that statement
Overrated teen film.
Underrated stupidity.

The song now has an extended intro, with Larson on vocals offering a few 'oh yeah's," used in the film to taunt Scott and Ramona in the audience." I take that as the band did the whole song again, while the actress just did the "oh yeah" stuff.

However, it is still one of my new favourite films.

They really should have added a comma after vocals
Overrated teen film.
Never say a negative comment in where the fanboys hive in. It's substantial enough that you'll get fucked. And, I'm not saying I'm a fanboy of this movie either. :v: I just like Winstead's hair in this flick.
What's with all the dumbs, I thought this was a pretty good movie.
HOOOOOOOOOLY SHIT. I just saw this movie on DVD. I fucking LOVED it. Regret not seeing it at the cinemas.
nice facts you got there to back up that statement
Have you even seen this film? I mean, oh my god, I'd rather watch 12 Things I Hate About You than this crap.

This is a good movie, directed towards an specific teenage audience. Sure, it has Michael Cera, but he is a good actor. The roles he plays are the types of roles he gets. If you hate the movie because it looks dumb from the trailer, go and watch it. It is a Perfect 8-bit/10 for me.

-
I take that as the band did the whole song again, while the actress just did the "oh yeah" stuff.
There's actually an outtake on the second disk with the CD, and its a clip where the actress falls whilst on stage, but she is deffinetly singing the song.
- There's actually an outtake on the second disk with the CD, and its a clip where the actress falls whilst on stage, but she is deffinetly singing the song.
Wow, she did a great job on it, then. Sounds a lot like Emily Haines.
I think I remember reading that the actor, Brie Larson or something, is also currently working on her singing career as well as her acting career
She kind of already has a singing career. She released one album (or was it an EP) a few years back, and has done nothing with it since, though.
I loved the movie, but I'm still on the fence about the game. I get the feeling I will suck at it.

She's in your avatar and apparently also the only reason you kept watching it.
Watched it twice now on blu-ray. Love it. Knives is hilarious.
I now own both the DVD version and the Blu-Ray version. Yay :v:
Very nearly bought myself a Blu Ray player for this film. However, I don't think I'll do it any justice on my 24" monitor. Going to wait until I've got my own apartment in a few months, and go nuts on my home cinema.
