It was a good run but at this rate it's costing me about 10-20 dollars a day. Thanks for the crazy amount of use you all gave it. It was fun for me too. Maybe it's time for me to think of a less costly webcam experiment.

Get a TV connected to a computer, which will recieve the images, and, well, do something similar that you did to make printer print stuff we sent to you, but for example show on a screen.

The computer to screen to stream is no problem. I'm trying to think of a way automate content from an email or maybe drop box into a slideshow. I've been looking in to various web-based tickers.

Ah shame I missed this. Having it modified to show the image on a TV would be equally amazing.

I always miss out on everything...
Now that it's over I wanted to post a picture of the setup so you can see what you were printing out of. Originally it was a cheap inkjet printer but when it exploded with hundreds of emails I went out and bought a $300 brother color laser printer. Other than that you can see a laptop used as the webcam server and to control the printer, a webcam, and a usb light to keep everything visible.

And in the end the explosion of prints ended up costing me about 7 dollars for two reams of paper. I successfully returned the brother laser printer today for a full refund! Woot!

I don't think it would be that hard...maybe like an hour or two's work.

Have you thought of using a thermal receipt type printer to print instead? Very cheap printing costs and huge rolls of paper to play with!
