One of my favourite albums Got some bitchin' riffs and some awesome vocals. Some kickass crowd shoutouts/sing alongs make this awesome for live stuff, and there are some cool breakdowns in there. I'm seeing these guys when they come to my town in october.
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/41/The_Doors_-_L.A._Woman.jpg[/img_thumb] Superb album... possibly they're best work after their original album
agree x1000
they get bonus points for the most unreadable band name
Iit's actually readable  It says "Waking The Cadaver"
incredible by early 70s standards, just listen to it. it's like an anomaly in time and space, so far ahead of its time.
Am I the only one that can't stand incomprehensible screaming? Shitty unlistenable screaming: Screaming used as a form of badassery: [editline]10:15PM[/editline] Also, the second song doesn't make any fucking sense at face value, but you can hear the words mostly.

If you dont understand it or it makes no sense, maybe its not meant to
even if you don't like the talking heads, this album is completely different
77 is the bessssttttttt
77 is the bessssttttttt
no it's not Remain in Light is like so completely different from anything the talking heads did
You beat me to this! I love this album, Myopic Empire is a brilliant song.
In Shrouds Decayed is fucking amazing. The whole album is damn it. Pure fucking evil is the best way to sum it up. [editline]12:15AM[/editline] Awesome album+art. Viking themed metal at its best.
Merriweather Post Pavillion by Animal Collective Animal Collective is a combination of oddly demented, experimental and at times, simply broken electronic beats topped with beautiful and deep lyrics. While all their albums are amazing, Merriweather Post Pavillion seems to embody everything that makes them good. Not a bad song on the album, it is perfection.
  Because it's Muse?
they get bonus points for the most unreadable band name
It's fairly simple to read, I can understand some letters but if you can't get the gist of it lol you should return to third grade :v:

I just like 77 better.
I'm not saying it's not. I just like 77 better.
well stop that stop having different opinions
I wear glasses. [editline]11:42PM[/editline] :gonk:
Ha, in that case I apologize
I was originally thinking more people would suggest some of their albums :P Superb Album, truly a classic...it was in their prime of hard rock and blues style
Damn, I was going to suggest this. I'll give my reasons anyway  Every song on the album is good, while there's also a lot of variety IMO.
no it's not Remain in Light is like so completely different from anything the talking heads did
Some songs on Fear of Music sound like it could be on Remain in Light.
Hudson Mohawke - Butter I recommend this because it's just such a dope album, has a lot of funky drum parts, nice synths. I don't normally go for digital sounding stuff, but this was alright. Some songs are just like moods, some songs have singing by Olivier Daysoul. My favorite song on this album right now is "Joy Fantastic". If you like stuff like Daft Punk you might like this. It's not like Daft Punk at all though but kinda. I don't know it's complicated. Check out the video> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlyeNkxlNhU D-Styles - Phantazmaogrea I recommend this because..well, how can i put it. You know how people think Jurassic 5 or DJ Shadow's Entroducing are like "deep underground stuff" but it's really just like the tip of the ice berg when you go further down the rabbit hole and delve deeper into a subculture. The whole record is made entirely of skratching. It's not a mix, it's music made with turntables. There are other album's like DJ Qbert's Wavetwisters or some Cut Chemist stuff that have a similar concept, but I recommend this one, because it's a pretty dark album, good example of skratch music and I guess if you're not really into skratch music you could probably listen to this one.
This album is plain simple to describe... it is basically sex... don't bother with best of or all the useless love album compilations... this album IS WHAT you need... in my opinion his best with the Stone Gon' album
Gong - Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy + the other ones. 1. Flying Teapot 2. Angel's Egg 3. You Gong was (and is) a psychedelic rock/jazz/whatever band formed in the 70's by Australian national Daevid Allen when he was denied entry into Great Britain. He met his then-girlfriend, Gilli Smyth, in France, and they formed the band after finding saxophonist/flautist Didier Malherbe living in a cave. The Radio Gnome trilogy is their best-known work: a series of concept albums that detail a story and philosophy invented by Daevid Allen, mixing hippie social ideas, very probably LSD-related stuff, and stories from the lives of the band members. The result is, well, wacky. You can read the mythology on Wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gong_(band) The trilogy from the 70's was continued in later years with three additional albums: Shapeshifter, Zero To Infinity, and 2032. Like the original Radio Gnome albums, they're trippy.
awesome! I'm torrenting all of these.
awesome! I'm torrenting all of these.
Great...I wouldn't say that.
Great...I wouldn't say that.
Why not? The man's interested in the music. It's not an internet forum's job to legislate.
Yeah but it's in the rules that you no talkey about downloading shit unless it's meant to be free stuff. Also this is my new recommendation, probably the best prog I've ever heard.
