Notice that the first song is "I don't wanna Die" and the last one is "ready to die".
perhaps it's more about accepting the inevitability of death
My god, I have listened to that album three times, never noticed that.
I feel fucking sad.

Obtain this album if you like chill music; by disregarding this comment you miss out so bad.
Quite good. But there are better indie rock bands.
Morrissey - Viva Hate

Alternative rock.
Alongside Vauxhall And I, Morrissey's best solo work.

Supergrass will always be remember as the fun loving lads from the 90's who's first album I should Coco will always be remember for it's summer bopping tunes. After this album however the lads moved away from pop-rock into a more Pink Floyd-esque style. I found this album to be their best and once you hear track 2, St. Petersburg, You'll understand why. It's a shame the band never found the same fame as I Should Coco but the album is still brilliant.

Courroux by DJ Clonepa
The style is a mix of classical music and breakcore in a very intersting way. Amazing beats, some unexpected glitch here and there, and great composition.

I just want to emphasize the fact that he is blind. The visionary of this album.. is amazing. It is one of the most peaceful experiences to listen to the album in it's entirety. It is also a soundtrack to a movie. But this concept is so underestimated.
I have never known an album with such a heavy amount of instrumental that can be so perfect to what it is. Also this opinion is not elitist, but I think it sounds miles better on vinyl.

King Crimson - Red (1974)

While not necessarily as artistic as In the Court of the Crimson King, there are quite a few powerful riffs (such as the one at the very start of the first track) and the pace nicely varies throughout the album. The fourth track, "Providence" is an eight minute classical piece, and the final track "Starless" starts off as a slow, almost ballad-like song resembling Epitaph from Court, but develops into a kickass frenzy of wind instruments.
Pink Floyd - The Final Cut (1983)

In my opinion, this is a very underrated album. Its success somewhat marred by the situation in the band at the time and its similarity to the wall, it contains very powerful melodies and a very strong anti-war message.
Paul Cusick - Focal Point (2009)

One of 2009's hidden gems. A neo-prog album in a similar style to the band IQ, for some reason the mostly laid-back beat kept me captivated. Plus the guy lives about 10 miles from me, which is cool.
Dagoba - Face The Colossus

Why haven't I heard about this before? Great industrial/groove metal. It should appeal to people who enjoy metal with harsh vocals in general.
Dat album art. These guys sound awesome

I listened to it... and it is really surprisingly good. Great styles.
Not many newer blues albums have surprised me as much as this has.

Nik Bärtsch's Ronin - Holon
An album from a group who classify their music as 'Zen-Funk'. The use of dynamics is incredible, the songs float smoothly from soothing parts to parts that make you want to dance. Minimalism is a huge part in their songs, while still being very diverse and interesting. Some of them remind me of Steve Reich a lot, which is only a good thing.
Those who like slowly building and jazz-like songs should listen to this album. There is something that makes you calm, there's something that makes you go 'wow', there's almost everything in a minimalistic package called Holon.

I think this is probably the most unique album I've ever heard.
It's like a play, split into 3 'Acts' with a finale. Progresses really interestingly.
Album on Grooveshark.
I really recommend at least listening to the finale.
I'm going to buy that Ryoji Ikeda's 'matrix' album tomorrow, seems to be very different from what I've used to hear.
Also recommending the album 'Kind of Blue' by Miles Davis. I didn't like jazz like that at all before I bought the album, but now I do. My favorites are songs 'So What' and 'Blue In Green', I feel very relaxed when listening to them.

Just listened to this album about a week ago and it's already in my top 10 album list. Alternative at its finest
I like the Soft Bulletin more.

Its a live album, and :iia:
Wonderful playing on there.
Liquid Tension Experiment - Liquid Tension Experiment

Awesome instrumental prog rock type stuff with the guitarist, drummer, and keyboardist from Dream Theater and the bassist from King Crimson. Fucking incredible stuff.
