El Gruepo Nueve de Omar Rodrgiuez-Lopez's Cryptomnesia. It's fairly short and simple but is really great instruementally. The lyrics were added as a second thought. But the lyrics are the same great and unique sound that Cedric Bixler-Zavala always delivers. Noir is fucking awesome, my personal highlight.

I just learnt of these guys, and they're really really good. Released their debut about 3 weeks ago. They're a sort of, atmospheric metal? They use lots of pianos and acoustic, with really nice vocals and they've got drums, bass, guitar etc but they play in a quite doomy way.

I just bought this album after listening to it on spotify for a while, and christ it is amazing. Hackett was good in the confines of Genesis, but alone he's [I]bloody brilliant.[/I] A symphonic rock masterpiece, my favourite track has to be the first track, Ace of Wands:

because sadly, the world is full of people who'd rather hate than love. Marvin Jr was a testament to the love side, his father clearly represented the other.

The making of that album video is interesting. It was recorded over several months only during a full moon in Lanois' mansion. The recording sessions were so loud his neighbors started calling to see what the heck was going on over there.
It's a pretty amazing album.

A great folk-rock concept album about a marriage that is going nowhere. The lyrics are hilarious, sad, and meaningful, and the melodies are very catchy. Definitely worth checking out.

The main force behind rap group cunninlinguists finally steps out to do a solo album, and this is the result. Beautiful beats with meaningful lyrics and flowing backgrounds. I haven't heard a rap album that's hit me like this, well... ever.

Continuing on my last point, I can tell it will be a very dark sounding album. Less of the "hardcore" hip hop that people usually associate the genre with.
Santana is great, not my favourite and I don't listen to him that often but he's definitely good.
