Don't blow me off!! I was genuinely moved by that noise ambience. New doors have been opened.
what did you have against noise in the first place?
what did you have against noise in the first place?
Not really. But I don't think I was ready. Noise rock, I've adored for ages.. But its different.
is there anything you don't like?
is there anything you don't like?
Marvin Gaye Sr. Fucking arsehole he was. :colbert:
Marvin Gaye Sr. Fucking arsehole he was. :colbert:
oh you're only hating on him for that one time.
oh you're only hating on him for that one time.
He murdered his own son because he was always seen as the lesser man in the family due to Marvin Jr getting the respect. Although Sr. wore womens clothes and was an unusual person altogether. Why couldn't he just be the better man and help people instead of watching them disintegrate? :saddowns:

Also Damon Albarn of Blur is the lead singer. Song of Choice: O' Green World.
I liked Demon Days and I usually hate hip-hop with a passion. Though my favourite songs are Fire Coming Out Of The Monkey's Head/Don't Get Lost In Heaven/Demon Days Also: I hate what Phil Collins did to Genesis, but his solo stuff is great. My favourites on this album are "Like China" and "You Can't Hurry Love", which always gets me boogie-ing.
brilliant modern hip hop [img_thumb]http://www.5starhiphop.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Big-boi-sir-lucious-left-foot-the-son-of-chico-dusty-HQ.jpg[/img_thumb] the underrated half of outkast. [editline]18th October 2010[/editline] bet i'm uber late
Shutterbugg is an awesome tune. Jack Beats' remix is great too.
If you love thrash metal, you'll fucking love this album. The sound is just so brutal, the drums sound great, great solos, just pure thrash  My mind was blown after i heard this song.
Are they an instrumental band? Instrumental thrash that's a new one lol
Are they an instrumental band? Instrumental thrash that's a new one lol
Nope. Just that song. I love the vocals. Especially on this album.
Ah, cool band! :buddy:
Yea. I was seriously SOLD after hearing that instrumental song. Just gets me really pumped. Their older stuff is awesome aswell, i just love the oldish sound.
El Gruepo Nueve de Omar Rodrgiuez-Lopez's Cryptomnesia. It's fairly short and simple but is really great instruementally. The lyrics were added as a second thought. But the lyrics are the same great and unique sound that Cedric Bixler-Zavala always delivers. Noir is fucking awesome, my personal highlight.
pretty good synthpop Flylo's new ep :D Pattern + grid world
I just learnt of these guys, and they're really really good. Released their debut about 3 weeks ago. They're a sort of, atmospheric metal? They use lots of pianos and acoustic, with really nice vocals and they've got drums, bass, guitar etc but they play in a quite doomy way. It's nice stuff
Stever Hackett - Voyage of the Acolyte I just bought this album after listening to it on spotify for a while, and christ it is amazing. Hackett was good in the confines of Genesis, but alone he's bloody brilliant. A symphonic rock masterpiece, my favourite track has to be the first track, Ace of Wands: But really the entire album is an essential listen, wonderful acoustic melodies, fantastic synthesizer lines and some of the most imaginative lead guitar playing I have listened to.
Lettuce - Rage I recommend this album to all lovers of funk and fusion. It has a steady theme throughout the album and is one of the few albums I can safely say I like every song on it.
He murdered his own son because he was always seen as the lesser man in the family due to Marvin Jr getting the respect. Although Sr. wore womens clothes and was an unusual person altogether. Why couldn't he just be the better man and help people instead of watching them disintegrate? :saddowns:
because sadly, the world is full of people who'd rather hate than love. Marvin Jr was a testament to the love side, his father clearly represented the other.
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e9/Le_Noise_Neil_Young.jpeg[/img_thumb] Gonna try this album for the first time soon, but I already recommend it for the fact its a new Neil Young album :v:
Sorry, gonna have to second this recommendation. That album kicks a lot of ass. Especially on a nice system. [editline]19th October 2010[/editline] The making of that album video is interesting. It was recorded over several months only during a full moon in Lanois' mansion. The recording sessions were so loud his neighbors started calling to see what the heck was going on over there. It's a pretty amazing album.
A great folk-rock concept album about a marriage that is going nowhere. The lyrics are hilarious, sad, and meaningful, and the melodies are very catchy. Definitely worth checking out.
I'm not a huge fan of rap, so me recommending a rap album is a new thing for me. This is a really beautiful album to me. The main force behind rap group cunninlinguists finally steps out to do a solo album, and this is the result. Beautiful beats with meaningful lyrics and flowing backgrounds. I haven't heard a rap album that's hit me like this, well... ever.
If you like gorillaz and del tha funky homosapien, you will love this. a great recopilation of all these old rock hits in the last 40 years performed by a great musican
[img_thumb]http://www.mixtapewall.com/uploads/2010/09/Kno-Death_is_Silent.jpg[/img_thumb]
Continuing on my last point, I can tell it will be a very dark sounding album. Less of the "hardcore" hip hop that people usually associate the genre with.
Santana is great, not my favourite and I don't listen to him that often but he's definitely good.
Some of the best blues tracks on one album. Amazing album.
