These might all be mixes and just that, but it's some of the best in the business. If you're looking for a genre to dive into, let Nightlife be the first mixes to rape your ears full of the love, the bass and the synth better associated with drum and bass.
Except Nightlife 3 sucks complete ass.
Anyone think Boris is worth listening to?
yes it's cool stuff

Also Dronevil is said to be good, however I'm confused about if its 2 albums meant to be played simultaneously or what?

Tried playing these both simultaneously, and it is fucking amazing. Surprised why they didn't just mix them together....

I disovered this album very recently, it's really good. Primarily a sludge metal release, but there's some huge punk rock, post-punk and post-rock stuff in there too. Awesome stuff. It's pretty mathy at times as well.

My favourite song off the album.

Going on listens in Last.fm I'm listened to this album maybe 8 times. And I started listening to it a few days ago. Love Rococo and Sprawl II.

yes
well, personally, i think that more songs about buildings and food is a better talking heads album, but theyre still great through and through.

Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards.
After some heavy listening to this album for the past couple of days, I can safely say that Demons and Wizards is an excellent rock album. If I had to make a comparison to another band, the first thing that comes to mind is Deep Purple, but less about riffing, more melodic, with alot of acoustic and clean guitar parts and more upfront organ playing.
A couple of songs from the album, but really, this is one of the very few albums where I can safely say there are no tracks I would skip, no tracks that are bad, every last one of them is fantastic.
The Wizard

I really love his music, he's a real good songwriter.
You all should listen to Boris. They blew my mind for the first time :smug:

Absolutely breathtaking. Definitely up there with the greats. Even if you aren't a fan, its an album to have in a collection, such a brilliant piece of work.

Can't stress how good this music is.

Probably the album that made stoner rock for me. A whole album of head shaking bassy riffs and grooves.
Okay, after listening to it in its entirety I have some opinions to make.
Its one of the greatest, most emotional, well-produced/performed, creative albums of the year.
Thats all.
I quite strongly agree.

Richard says he doesn't like the name 'IDM' he says its a title he gives to crappy electro. But yes brilliant album.

Definitely the best remix album I've ever come across, includes remixes by Crystal Castles, Tobacco, Gold Panda, Pictureplane and Salem (it also includes an original song by HEALTH themselves, recorded in Trent Reznor's studio and mixed by Alan moulder).

I got mine off an uncle who doesn't have a record player anymore. Pristine condition. :smug:
HEY
HEY GUYS
wanna hear what my favorite album of 2010 is? you do? alright! IT'S...SURFER BLOOD - ASTROCOAST
or astro coast, if you prefer.

WHY? well, i can't really tell you. its got great guitar parts, and like...it sorta subverts all those old surf rock bands in a cool way. plus, Swim is a fucking great song, as is Catholic Pagans and Floating Vibes and pretty much all of them.
Jesus, looking at the cover gives me a headache
still a great album though!
Heard it was okay, far from "best of the year" but still.
Okay.
