I'm not sure what genre you might call it, but the album seems to have a very consistent style despite being the work of different artists. Amazing vocalist. One of the best, most intense post-rock albums I've ever listened to. It's rare that I let an album get to me emotionally but this thing hit me hard a few months ago when I was in a tight spot.
While it may be his eighth album this year (out of 10.) it's probably the best one yet. It has a nice progressive funk noise with lots of good bass and just really easy great tracks. Completely approachable and awesome. Note: It's all in spanish... but it's fantastic. [editline]1st January 2011[/editline] And I'd like to say, just because the lyrics are in spanish does not mean that the album sounds any sort of spanish influence. It's Progressive and something. Give it a listen
Just listened to this and I don't think anyone recommended this yet, so here you go. Indie folk, punk-folk sorta stuff. Recommending because of its catchy, feel good sound while addressing serious gloomy topics.
28 pages without a mention of the Rolling Stones?
[img_thumb]http://filesmelt.com/dl/stone_roses.jpg[/img_thumb] British indie rock at it's best. Every song is absolutely of epic proportions. Put it on the record player, put some headphones on, sit in a dark room and listen to what Ian Brown, Mani, Reni and John Squire have to say.
Im kinda liken them, Ill buy some of their stuff when I get chance.
I don't know where else to ask this so... I'm looking for some music. I currently have only 20 songs on my MP3 player. Yes 20 compared to some peoples 11k's. I'm currently listening to this stuff Smash Mouth Daft Punk Fatboy Slim Can anyone reccomend me something similar because I can't seem to find any other songs I like
[img_thumb]http://www.afreeman.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/rolling_stones_-_exile_on_main_street_-_front.jpg[/img_thumb] This one, too.
That's a great album too, but I don't like it as much as everyone else seems to - I'd probably rate it as the sixth or seventh best Stones album, as opposed to the best, which I've often seen it called.

this album seeps power, and not in that girly Iron Maiden fashion.

If you find acid jazz and psychedelic themes remotely pleasant to listen to, I'd highly recommend this ablum: Very good songs. I personally find Life in the Rain and Snakes in the Grass to be awesome. No vocals, just audio samples from various films and whatnot. Unfortunately, every other album by this artist is strictly jazz I believe. I think the album Apricot Morning has a few songs that are similar to the ones in this album, but other than that...meh...
Deerhunter. This album is Microcastle/Weird Era Cont. I recommend this album if you are interested in Chilled music.
Brian Eno - Small Craft on a Milk Sea It's not popular, but it is definitely a worthy album. True thrilling electronic music.

Superb album that may have passed some people by last year. Great soul record that needs to be heard. There are clear hip hop and r&b elements but come together to make an amazing album. Plus I can't get over that voice :v:
Boston's debut album. Why? It's Boston.
Great jazz-swing and drumming technique. Stevie Wonder - Fulfillingness' First Finale Mouthful of a title, but I can honestly say this album is starting to become my new favourite of his. Innervisions has set in stone in my mind as being definitely in my top 5. But I adore this almost just as much. A more "funk" feel than anything previously in his classic period. And some of his greatest vocals are here. There is also "They Won't Go Where I Go", one song of his where I can almost be moved into how he is feeling there. He has the power to do that here :smug: Paul Mccartney - Driving Rain A very nice vibe from this album. Definitely some of his best solo work since Ram which was almost 30 years previous. A lot less ego and more of a great personality coming through here. Great expression here.

And silly as it may sound, it's refreshing to see a female guitarist bringing out great music. Interesting use of things I don't normally associate with jazz (effects and vibrato particularly) and overall just an enjoyable listen.
Probably been posted, but this acid is dope.
Much better than what was originally released on stereo. To be fair, this was how it was meant to be released. I was fed up with hearing "Freewheeling" with his voice and harmonica on one side and then his guitar on the other. It fucked it all up... not really but trust me, having them produced properly is the key. Another aspect that I liked, was that A LOT more instruments are actually hearable on them. On Highway 61 Revisited, almost ALL the tracks benefit from the mono remaster, they all have these details that are superb. Try Tombstone Blues in mono.. can't beat it. All of the albums are truly brilliant in mono, it was definitely clear that they were meant for it. One to look out for.

Portishead - Third It's kind of like Radiohead... kind of - but more "experimental" and... I don't really know. Really great musics. My favorite song:
