It's Swedish big band ballroom rap. What more is there to say?

It's kind of like Radiohead... kind of - but more "experimental" and... I don't really know. Really great musics.
My favorite song:

I saw a copy of that brand new on vinyl in my record store. I'm contemplating on picking it up :3:

Do so. It's a really unique and a great album.

Her voice is so haunting.
Yeah, she has a really good voice.
My only complaint is at times, the lyrics seem super "My women feelings have been hurt too many times :(" but overall they're not bad.

Delicious psychadelic rock.

Omega Massif - Geisterstadt
Heavy German sludge music.

Screaming Trees - Dust
Bluesy grunge.
Okay, I'm going to divulge more into Tom Waits' albums.
I'm prepared :smug:

Nina Simone - Emergency Ward (Live Album) 1972
It comprises of 2 George Harrison medley songs and one soul song. An 18 minute medley of My Sweet Lord and 11 minute of Isn't It A Pity. I adore this show, and it is very soulful. So much effort is put into these medley's, it is astonishing how they kept the energy for so long, kept consistent throughout.
Brilliant.

This kills everything.
I'm gonna go back and take a look at this thread properly and check out what I've missed. I almost forgot how awesome this thread was :smug:
I know you're all going to hate me for this but it's a good album.

I love that album :v:

The whole album is so chilllll and great to listen to when you're tired
The sequel isn't as good and is more upbeat
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d4/BDylan_original_mono.jpg[/img_thumb]
Much better than what was originally released on stereo. To be fair, this was how it was meant to be released.
I was fed up with hearing "Freewheeling" with his voice and harmonica on one side and then his guitar on the other. It fucked it all up... not really but trust me, having them produced properly is the key.
Another aspect that I liked, was that A LOT more instruments are actually hearable on them. On Highway 61 Revisited, almost ALL the tracks benefit from the mono remaster, they all have these details that are superb. Try Tombstone Blues in mono.. can't beat it.
All of the albums are truly brilliant in mono, it was definitely clear that they were meant for it. One to look out for.
Oh god, that was so annoying. :smith:
Oh god, that was so annoying. :smith:
Seriously, I enjoy it 100 times better than stereo.
The Beatles have it too on some albums :argh:
Just bought R.E.M.'s Monster, pretty good album.
Monster is awesome.

Definitely recommend it if you're into alternative.

Prince - N.E.W.S
Very sophisticated smooth jazz album, it is a surprisingly AWESOME piece in his collection that gets overlooked. One listen to this if you are accustomed to his artistry will blow your mind at his depth. He truly is a genius.
He pioneered a funk age, and now he shows it in this Jazz-Funk masterpiece.
As understated artists go... here it is.

Cutting Pink With Knives - Populuxxe
The last and best album from the unique band Cutting Pink With Knives.
There really is nothing quite like this band, and especially this album. It's a mix of mostly grindcore, pop and synth, and it actually works extremely well. All the songs on this album gives off a great feeling, every time I hear one of the songs starting I go "fuck yes".
Among other likeminded musicians who experiment with grindcore and cybergrind, such as Monomate and Bubblegum Octopus, this is an important band. I see people comparing it to Genghis Tron, even though they sound completely different.
If you like special kinds of grindcore groups like The Locust, Genghis Tron, An Albatross, and Rolo Tomassi, then this is an album you should definitely check out.

Only the second motown record released, you can sure hear the history. (and see it, DAMN his hair was awful for that cover!)
Now it's not a "great" album. It could've been produced better and Marvin himself wasn't happy with the arrangements.
To be fair, it is early and his voice has always been awesome. For a debut, I love this record.

The perfect transition of atmosphere, emotion and cheesyness of power metal meets the rush of speed metal and neo-classical movements all around. And yes, there is melodic stuff. I would name this one of the best Power Metal releases of the 90's, full stop.
I heard this album was good. It was recommended to me.

I think most here will have heard of it.
Well listen to it.
Well listen to it.
I will :smug:
Do you think it's worth listening to?
I only liked Juggernaut on that one, was kind of disappointing. Also you forgot to tell us why you recommend it.
[img_thumb]http://punkworldviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/enter-shikari-common-dreads-472396.jpg[/img_thumb]

Woops sorry for no reason :v:
If you like anything with a bit of synthesizer, I recommend Enter Shikari with inhale screaming and fairly fast and intense songs.
Renegades of Funk is all covers songs[from knowledge] by Rage Against The Machine, which include How I could just Kill a Man by Cypress Hill, sounds quite... funky.
