Bomb the Music Industry! - Scrambles Listen to it because it's loud and fun and awesome and you can get it for free here: http://www.quoteunquoterecords.com/qur022.htm

My reason: I literally love every single song on these two albums. I recommend listening to every Muse album, but these are probably the best ones.
Daft Punk - Discovery I really cannot big this album up enough. If you're looking to get into dance music, this is a great place to start. It's basically house music, but with a kind of cheesy 80s euro-disco edge to it. It's one of the few albums I can say with confidence is absolutely flawless from start to finish. Plus, guest spots from Romanthony and Todd Edwards = WIN.
I prefer this one [editline]08:05PM[/editline]
Sorry, forgot to mention why. The album goes from energetic to a complete standstill at times. The incredible range of emotion and imagery combined with the instrumental precision and diversity will blow you away. Without a doubt my favorite album.
Red was totally better than In the cock of the cock king
A great album for those who want to get into Skinny Puppy. It's an amazing journey from start to finish. A great way to describe it is a bad trip.

It's an amazing journey from start to finish. A great way to describe it is a bad trip.
I can safely say, this is one of the best albums of all time, as far as I'm concerned at least. It's an industrial masterpiece, a dark horror story, and if you actually pay attention, the lyrical genius is there as well.
I prefer this one
Yeah Alive 07 is fantastic as well, but of their studio albums I think Discovery is my favourite.
Hurt - Vol 2 This for me is the epitome of hard rock. One of the tightest rock groups around with the best vocalist/lyricist in the hard rock genre. Hurt is the work of J Loren Wince, and the rest of the band. This is their best album IMO, it works in amazing emotionality, fantastic work on every instrument all album long, and Js best lyrical content to date, with some of his best vocal performances. If you're into hard rock, I recommend not only this album, but this bands whole discography. Hell, give a few songs a listen even if you're not, chances are you'll find something you like.

Side project by Steve Wilson and Aviv Geffen - absolutely amazing.
It's amazing.
Breaking Benjamin is a gothic rock band with some Celtic influences put into their music. They also have a great vocalist and some catchy guitar riffs. "So Cold" is probably the best song on there. They also do some very good clean songs, such as "Forget it" and "rain" which are also great songs.
What. You have no idea of what gothic rock is, do you? This is gothic rock: Breaking Benjamin's a shitty post-grunge band. Unless that was a trolljob, in that case, 10/10. That said, I recommend giving a listen to Shining's Blackjazz if you want to hear some of the most insane music ever made. Mix of progressive metal, black metal, jazz and electronica, album of the year IMO.
The Smith Westerns - Self Titled Because it's just a really fun album
In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson Classic arty, somewhat trippy, progressive rock at its finest.
Red was totally better than In the cock of the cock king
Possibly the most true statement ever stated. Though you can't go wrong with the "Collectables" Fripp has been releasing. 2 concerts on 2 discs, two in the 70s, another two 80s, 90s, 00s.
Alive In Wild Paint - Ceilings Beautiful indie rock music. I'm so glad I discovered this, one of my favorite albums from 2008.
It has 3 songs in it about burning your girlfriend. It's the only iron maiden album I've listened to but it's awesome.
Classic, Sounds amazing, overall Epic one of my favourite albums, epic death metal for me
Great electrionica/house [editline]02:25PM[/editline]
yeh it is an amazing album aye, was introduced to it when I watched Interstella 5555, great movie too
gah! to late.... :aaa:
One of the greatest modern pieces of heavy/thrash metal. It's intense, and i sincerely hope people listen to this album. "one of the purest, finest, most powerful expressions of modern heavy metal released" -- " an over the top rage and pummelfest with all the qualities that earned the group its enormous fan base by touring and recording"
Persefone - Core Interesting progressive death metal. Almost every song on this album exceeds twenty minutes, and expresses a wide range of musical textures and ideas. If I recall correctly, it's a concept album that tells the story of the Greek mythological character, Persephone, and her abduction by Hades. The album itself is kind of rare, and it's not exactly mainstream (even for metal). Tiamat - Wildhoney Metallic Pink Floyd. Nuff said.
I do understand the variety that metal has, just yet to discover that acdc are definitely metal, although most of their popular work is predominantly hard rock style i was just surprised about the variety of metal rather than variety of genres which was what i was expecting
They are far from metal, they detest being called metal. They aquired the label of metal, they are most certainly not. They are comparable to bands of that genre who toured in that time but they aren't Not trying to be all genre fag here but I am like a AC/DC encyclopedia [editline]08:00PM[/editline] I feel ashamed, a post without content. okay The Getaway Plan - Other Rooms, Other Voices All my friends and I loved this album, the songs are packed with some of the most beautiful lyrics, both sung and written I've ever heard. All the instruments in the album, are 100% perfect for this type of record. The songs are all stuff I can relate too, and for me are such a joy to listen to. It's really a reflect on life album, and I enjoyed it immensely
Persefone - Core
Definitely going to check them out, although I hate low quality recordings.

It's violent, it's unpredictable, it borders on unlistenable at times.
