Possibly the greatest thing ever conceived by the greatest musicians ever.
1966.
It has most genre of music.
Tomorrow Never Knows - The birth of Drum and Bass
And your Bird can Sing - Classic Metal
For No One - One of the earliest songs to express the true feelings of heartache.
These are just 3 of the songs on the album out of 14, but the most influential in my opinion.

It is a great album, but not for the reasons you claim. "the first album to do anything"
I personally think it is great because it utilizes styles from all members of the band. Dunno why you missed out George Harrison's styles introduced with his sitar to create a new age of Psychadelia.

You're right there, there are a lot of individual styles from the 4. I know Ringo didn't write Yellow Submarine, but it was a silly song written for silly guy, it suits him perfectly. And as for George Harrison, I believe he had the most successful solo career. It's 10 years since his death this year. Beware of the Darkness - R.I.P

PFM - Per Un Amico
Some very inspired progressive rock here, although the album isn't in english it is very enjoyable. I feel we need a discussion on foreign prog rock as there is a lot worth realising.

5/5, really good album, he utilizes anything you can think of ranging from fucking bongos to sitars.
Art in its purest form right here folks.
I love it. Prog masterpiece.

You are a stupid person.
My World 2.0 is a lot better.

Can't belive no one in 34 pages posted something by them. It's overall a very good rock album, and the last two songs are like the cherry on the cake.

Changed how I listen to music forever.
Rise against

after spending a good time with the album, i have to say this is one of the most remarkable left-field electronica releases i've ever heard. a bit of bjork and a bit of autechre put together result in some pretty good synth pop songs
though pack your 80's glasses

Prince and The Revolution - Around The World In A Day
Not your ordinary pop record that you'd expect, quite possibly the only psychadelic 80s pop record.
Very enjoyable though, not his best but worth a try.
Unreal. :v:
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets

A psychedelic masterpiece and the only album to feature the short lived 5 piece line-up.

They're one of my favourite bands, but One by One is pretty bad besides Times Like These and All My Life. Even Grohl himself has stated that it's the worst thing he's ever made. The Colour and the Shape is where it's at, and their new album is looking incredibly promising.
Favorite Worst Nightmare - Arctic Monkeys.
Simply because there isnt a single bad song on the album.

Such a good album, I love SoaD and I never tire of listening to them. Also fun fact, when typed toxicity in google, alternate options were "system of a down system of a down"

Dogman by King's X.
Progressive grunge with blues influences.

King Crimson - In The Wake of Poseidon
Holds up to the debut and is explosive. Very enjoyable record and worthy successor.
