Japanese jazz-punk fusion.
HOLY FUCK this is amazing! another band I have to listen to fffffffffffff
I do recognize some of the songs actually :psyduck:
Especially Julie and Candy.
Boards of Canada are known for being instantly recognizable even though you haven't heard them. Listen to Music Has The Right To Children next. It's lighter than Geogaddi, musically and thematically i guess.

Oh I've listened to that already. I remember enjoying it quite a bit, but I should give it another listen.
This Geogaddi record is amazing though.

The new album by Blood Ceremony.

Fripp & Eno - Evening Star - 1975
A second collaboration, and recommendation that I'll give. This one is a lot more ambient than the other, it being a longer album may be something to do with it... but this one is something surreal.
I feel the first album is a mixture of experimentation as well as rhythmic composition. This one is a bit trickier though.
I feel this one is in ways... better than the other due to it being more melodic, but it lacks the vibrant nature of the first.
The Stranglers - Black and White

Classic post punk.

This is probably the best sampler I've ever heard. Found this a couple of years ago for 5€, bought it because I liked the cover :v:
Then listened to it, learned to love it. It's a very nice mix of ... yeah, that's the problem. I can't really explain what kind of music that is, some kinda Latin-American samba-soul-whatever.

A beautifully sinister album that sounds like the brooding snarls of a demon in its death throes. References to occultism, the WAV size file is 666Mb, the length is 66:06, and just a generally creepy tone. May send shivers down your spine. Some have been known to cry while listening to this.
Really?
I found this album really comforting and nostalgic.
Alice in Chains - Dirt

THE Grunge album of the 1990s, or at least 1992. I never get tired of any of the songs on here. Godsmack took their name from a song on here, too. Just goes to show how influential they were.

Don't start out with the Pod though. Get Chocolate With Cheese or the Mollusk first.

Why is it, be more descriptive. :v:
Press play and just listen. The moody feeling the album gives is just fantastic.
Well since Kno is awesome, I may just have to :smug:

Best pop-group from Australia. Okay it's the only Australian pop group I know, but I don't know if Australia can make anything better than this! Think R.E.M. plus U2 to get an idea of what the album sounds like.
Egg - EP by Shoe. (Album cover is in video). These guys released their so far one and only album in the summer of 09. It's an impressive indie rock album. What's so awesome about the six songs on the album is that they're all upbeat and high-spirited, it always puts me in a good mood whenever I listen to it. It's a good "summer" album, it's good music to listen to while chilling in the sun or in the car. You can definitely tell they had fun making this.
Here's a song some of you may know:

the lyrics might might not make much sense, but it's just a fun song to listen to, very uplifting.

One of the greatest albums ever, though I could only listen to it once every month or so due to how emotionally devastating it is. Listening to it in full, uninterrupted, will change your life.

Can't belive no one in 34 pages posted something by them. It's overall a very good rock album, and the last two songs are like the cherry on the cake.
My favorite album by them is "The Colour and the Shape".
I recommend the song "John the Revelator."

You'd probably love Fang Island. They are the most upbeat band I've ever heard in my life.

after spending a good time with the album, i have to say this is one of the most remarkable left-field electronica releases i've ever heard. a bit of bjork and a bit of autechre put together result in some pretty good synth pop songs
though pack your 80's glasses
Ok, I love the singer's voice in the few Royksopp songs she did vocals in + I love a couple other Swedish electropop bands, but I could never ever get into the Knife.

I love it too, i just couldn't decide which one to chose here :v:
I really enjoy "In your Honor" as well, because the acoustic CD is just so incredibly good, that's why "Skin and Bones" is also great... gah, everything they've made is awesome.

Hypnos 69 - Legacy - 2010
Along my quest for proving Prog Rock did not die in the 70s, I came across this album quite easily.
Being released only last year, I had my doubts... but when I threw it on I was engulfed by all those styles that were pioneered in that era. You could see clear inspiration as well as bringing something new to the table.
I wouldn't have said they were "great" but I think it's a very enjoyable album that prog fans will like.
