It's a free mixtape: http://thirdworlds.net/files/Death%20Grips%20-%20Exmilitary.zip
Experimental and crazy as fuck hip hop. My mind needs a rest.
Did anyone hear this?
I have it downloaded, not listened to yet.

Les Mystere des Voix Bulgares (aka Bulgarian State Radio and Television Female Vocal Choir)
The name says it all really. Powerful and emotional voices creating beautiful Eastern European harmonies.

His first album after doing The Asylum Choir, arguably his best album. Worth checking out if you like that early 70's funky piano sound, Leon is pretty much the master of it.

Experimental Hip Hop once again, this time it's a lot more about ambience and industrial incorporated into the abstract style of hip hop.
For fans of hip-hop that want more than bitches and hoes albums, go for this.

Catherine Wheel's Adam and Eve.
Some really nice Alt Rock. I'm fairly sure Ferment is somewhere in this thread and fans of this style of rock should really look into these albums. Damn good.
I wonder what the casting call for that album art read like.

A very good album for edging out into a more experimental type of music while listening to the familiar metal I was so accustomed to. It's just astonishing how the time signatures fit together so well to create the awesome progressive sound. I'm not too good at describing stuff like this, but the album is just plain amazing.

Fairly sure it's been posted, but this makes you feel. He's coming out with a new record, can't wait.
This is the kind of folksy stuff that keeps you intrigued and uses all these lush effects on vocals that bring out another kind of sense in the music. It works so well with the guitar and the band.
Bon Iver.
Bon Iver is simply one of the most relaxing artists ever.

Some badass delta blues here...
Recorded in 1962, released in 1995.
Mississippi Fred McDowell's self titled album.
33 years later? :byodood:
33 years later? :byodood:
Some of the songs were released before then, but it was finally packaged as this masterpiece only in 1995. :iia:
speaking of late-releases

dusty and autumnal folk songs (the many comparisons to Nick Drake aren't surprising) recorded in the 70s, finally released in 2006. Apparently J Mascis had some connection to her, and got this produced after hearing some recordings.
I really need more pre-1960s albums.

The album that got me into death metal
Technical, brilliant song writing and relentless.
Listening to it right now, it's just perfect. The vocals are incredible and the lead guitarist is amazing.

Probably not the sort of thing for everyone though.
Sorry if it's been posted before, I don't really want to look through the whole thread.

Pretty good album imo.

Knife's Silent Shout.
Really nice dark ambient, synth oriented experimental electronic album :downs:
