Them Crooked Vultures - Self Titled
I don't know what it is, but there is just something so damn appealing about that sound. :gizz:

maybe my favourite from 2011 so far. Quiet electronica with minimal, sparse beats and warm cozy textures. There's a lot of "space" in the album actually, it's very fine and un-cluttered sounding electronica. or Micro-House.
Fucking hell, vagrant. Where have you been all this time? Why join in August and not bother coming here earlier :3:
fun fact: I've been facepunching since july 07 on an old account. I just recently decided I liked this place enough to frequent :v:

James Carr's You Got My Mind Messed Up
An all time classic soul record. It's not your ordinary type of soul that most are acquainted with... hence the "smooth" or "quiet storm, motown" kind of sound. This isn't it.
This is LOT about Southern... deep.. Otis Redding-esque. This is damn good.

Dreams' 1970 Dreams album.
Superb Jazz Rock. If you want something as wonderous as Steely Dan, but going a bit further with experimentation and direction changing, this is the record. I love it, but struggle to find a copy on LP. It's rare.
In my opinion, they should be a lot more prominent amongst jazz rock fans, because this is just brilliant.

Creamchou - Shining Love
Korean light indie pop music, really mellow and chill, even if you have nothing with k-pop I recommend checking this out.

A concept album by the American Metalcore band God Forbid. It's actually really good in my opinion.

Because French shoegaze/post-rock is awesome, and the language is beautiful.
I need to check that out with so many other Shoegaze/Black Metal bands. Including giving Alcest another chance.

"All We Destroy" by Grayceon

This album is a great combination of progressive metal, sludge, and post-metal.

Have you ever listened to this piece of Finnish Melodic Gothic/Dark Metal? You haven't? Then do it now! It's awesome!

Nope, Profound Lore is one of my favourite labels.
Listen to Giant Squid. Sludgey, celloey, banjoey deliciousness
I'll need to listen to Grayceon sometime

Some nice creative art rock. If you want something in terms of "modern" experimental rock. This is it.

I listened to it and it made me go like YESSSSSSSSSS :pcgaming:

Fairly sure it's already posted, but just again because it really puts you in that relaxed state of mind. The soulful vocals just float over the groove undertones. Sort of reminds me of the effect of the good Radiohead era.

Band: The Kristet Utseende
Album: Över Dimmornas bro till Ankara
Genre: Narcotic Gay Metal/Punk (I have no idea to be honest)
If you ever question the fact that Herr Svens native province Hälsingland is filled with... special people, listen to this album. Or, well, read the translated lyrics.

Braxupload does.
Actually, the music is very equal. It's offensive to everyone.

Some really nice "Post Dubstep". It's kinda James Blake-esque except it lacks the soul vibe and heads for a more UK Garage feel. Nonetheless it's awesome.
Need some more obscure albums.
Keep posting them.

Absolutely breathtaking. This is a double album full of weird noise experiments, ambient noodlings, and lo-fi indie rock ditties. There's a lot of tracks but not one of them is a dud. There's enough diversity and interesting sounds to keep it sounding fresh. This is sort of like GY!BE going punk so check it out.

I liking the sound of that, I'm not liking their album art though.. But, that doesn't really affect the music so Yeah, great.
Can't go wrong with Swans.
The only downside to their stuff is that they're pretty damn creepy. Half this stuff sounds like the sounds that play when a monster spots you in Amnesia.
I know it's random but the thing I hate about my favourite album of theirs "Cop" is that the cover is the belly of an obese woman.
Why??? :smith:
