Your musical compatibility with Jc84mt is VERY LOW Music you have in common includes The Beatles and System of A Down.
Why does it say that? [editline]12th July 2011[/editline] Okay, I'm adding more bands to my library that I couldn't think of before.
I'm liking this album a lot... truly inspired instrumental hip hop.
Hit me with some of your favourite albums.
welp: Talk Talk - Laughing Stock Nick Drake - Pink Moon Charles Mingus - The Black Saint Bill Evans - Sunday at the Village Vanguard Comus - First Utterance (sexual favours are offered to anyone who suggest similar music) Slint - Spiderland A Tribe Called Quest -umm... the first three, pretty much equally Organized Konfusion - Stress: The Extinction Agenda Wu-Tang - 36 Chambers Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me Joni Mitchell - Blue Bjork - Post MBV - Loveless Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Allat Szuletett Boris - Flood Neil Young - Tonight's the Night Cat Power - Moon Pix agh so difficult really to pick favourites. it's like picking favourite friends. if I had as many friends as albums.
I really love this album, every song. I could listen to it on repeat all day.
Boris - Flood.
How

it's pretty nice :3 throw me more albums also, what are you favourite Bob Dylan albums?
Bringing It All Back Home is my favourite one. [editline]15th July 2011[/editline] definitely a hidden jem right here. light post-punk jams over an odd, but emotive singing style. so check it out.
it's pretty nice :3 throw me more albums also, what are you favourite Bob Dylan albums?
Blonde on Blonde, Love and Theft, Times They're A Changin', Blood On The Tracks. Sorry for the overkill :-)
Because it's fucking Fugazi and Wu-Tang Clan what's not to like It's a mashup of post-hardcore legend Fugazi and the hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. it's mostly Wu-tang vocals and Fugazi instrumentals although it changes up a bit at times. It's actually so so good. Probably my favourite off the album (I'm So Tired and C.R.E.A.M.)
1975 - Timewind We have two thirty odd minute tracks here with pretty much all the early synthesizer, "create that world", malarkay, whatever... I personally thought it was pretty astounding and if you like Tangerine Dream-esque synthesizer stuff this is another place to check out. Unlike Tangerine, these are properly less ambient in some kind of sense because it is more journey music as compared to the atmospheric aspect of Dream. I can't make sense of it because I've only just heard this, but go for it.
The Flashbulb - Love As A Dark Hallway Recommended tracks: Virtuous Cassette,Let me Walk You to Your Honda,We Are Alone in a City This album is definitely worth a listen for fans of Benn Jordan(The Flashbulb) and electronic music of all kinds, and while it may feel a bit premature it’s a great album all the way through with a more focused sound and compressed variety.
Aha, here's the recommend an album thread! I already put this in "Suggest me some music" because I couldn't find this one, but anyway The J. Arthur Keenes Band - Computer Savvy Recommended tracks: The whole album, really. But Water2 (Wetter) and Foe Paw are my favorites. This album is incredibly professional and well produced, and though it's released under a chiptune label, they only use their NES as one of many instruments. Clever lyrics, catchy melodies, great rythm.... oh yeah, and did I mention it's free? http://www.8bitpeoples.com/discography/8BP121 "When the word comes through from some omniscient source/that the world's a mess and we've all run our course/you can work yourself, you can work your course/until you've worked enough to never feel remorse"
I liked this EP a lot actually, although it isn't explosive it is quietly really cool. Some may say it's boring compared to their other stuff but I enjoy it.
Normal is one of the best songs from that era IMO. Nil Recurring (the track) also features Robert Fripp :buddy:
The Silver Apples Amazing, perhaps lesser-known album from an amazing 60's band.
Holy shit, how the fuck did I miss this on page one then post it 47 pages later. :pwn:
Hours by Beau Navire. Brilliant screamo from Oakland. I love how they fuse chaotic, fast segments with beautiful melodies. In my opinion a perfect mix of American- and European-sounding screamo. So energetic and refreshing.
Distant relatives by Damian Marley and Nas: Why? Because it's an awesome reggae album:
Ooh, I like the sound of that, it's catchy!

Staircase infinities. 1994 Porcupine Tree EP release, and contains some really fantastic instrumentals really and a rerecording of an old song written in one of his old old bands from when he was a teenager. It's really good. Also check out Up the Downstair.
If I might recommend an album (or a band), Twelve Tribes's The Rebirth of Tragedy is definitely worth a listen, as is Midwest Pandemic. 1988 - I'm Your Man The first few seconds in may tell you "meh this may be another cheesy 80s album". But goddamn this is some badass music once the man kicks in. Oh yeah, this is definitely one of the greatest albums from the 80s in my books. It is kind of "synthy" but there are aspects of folk here too. But overall I can't say much more, it is one of Tom Waits' favourites apparently. :v:
that's just funny when you think of how full of despair and hatred Songs of Love and Hate is
that's just funny when you think of how full of despair and hatred Songs of Love and Hate is
OI, it's not funny bro, it's badass. [editline]17th July 2011[/editline] I did hear songs of love and hate again today too, truly superb album.
that's just funny when you think of how full of despair and hatred Songs of Love and Hate is
and it's the only album art in which Cohen's smiling on.
