French Rock eh?
Apart from language, I can't see the extreme difference in genre.. :v:
Maybe it has a lot of cliché like french house?
Nah, it's pretty much alternative rock, but in french.
But, it's an awesome album regardless.

Get The Anthology (later rereleased as Gold)
I need to get Louis Armstrong's anthology. That dude has done too much for me to go through countless amounts of rare albums.

This sounds apocalyptic, but just don't think F♯A♯∞ apocalyptic. Highly recommended for fans of Punk, Thrash Metal, Doom Metal, and/or Black Metal.

Comets on Fire - Avatar
I have a feeling some people here would like this album. Very jammy laid back with influences of 60s-70s rock. Fans of Grails might like this also.

Pretty good album that's worth a shot if you have some time. I suggest checking out "I'm Not The Only One" and "Take a Picture", two of the best songs on the album IMO.

Peter Gabriel - s/t (Melt) - 1980
Stunning example of an artful rock album with an 80s production. One of his best, maybe less expressive as Car was, but still a great example of his work.
It's experimental, but very easily listenable.

It's now the second half of October, and here in rural Sweden we've entered the cold half of the year. What better way to warm up than hot cocoa, a warm fire...

It's Exactly as awesome as it sounds!
i tystnad ligger markerna
[Chorus 1]
dimma, dimma, dimma över mångsbodarna
slakta, slakta slakta de kristna hjordarna
dimma, dimma, dimma över mångsbodarna
ondska, ondska, ondska i granskogarna
hade du levt idag hade du diggat linkin park
[Chorus 2]
dimma, dimma, dimma över fjällnora
slakta, slakta, slakta jungfruhoran
dimma, dimma, dimma över åreskutan
ondska, ondska, ondska skall vi utgjuta

in silence lies the land
you can hear that there is something going on
to the sounds of mistguitar (lit.)
We march and strike up the song
we have gathered for sacred rite
we have come from north and south
we are all the children of evil
the ski pole pentagrams sisters and brothers
invisible to the eyes of the world
for those who are not with us
beherit has taught us to play so fast
that they can not see us
[Chorus 1]
mist, mist, mist over Mångsbodarna
kill, kill kill the Christians herds
mist, mist, mist over Mångsbodarna
evil, evil, evil in the spruce forests
Strap on your skis and choose your weapon in a hurry
bandy legs, ice pike or sharpened curling broom
hit the track to burn, pillage and slash
our guitars to cover you in judging and in the shade
Jesus Christ - I know you are a joke
but I will not bygones be bygones
Christ's teaching - the worst thing in world history
had you been living today you would like Linkin Park
[chorus 2]
mist, mist, mist over Fjällnora
slaughter, slaughter, slaughter the virgin whore
mist, mist, mist over Åreskutan
evil, evil, evil must we pour out
Another 80s classic that goes under the radar these days. I think if you look hard enough, some truly creative things can be pulled out of that decade. Great voice, and lyrically it's very expressive. It's an era where "Art Pop" kind of came into its own, the same time when Laurie Anderson became recognised.
listened to hounds of love twice in the last week and it's beautiful, everyone get it now
L.A.S.E.R.S. - Lupe Fiasco

It has some nice lyrics and rapping.
He challenges politics in some of his songs and it is a nice change from all the rap about weed, money, bitches n' hoes.....

Woods of Ypres- The Deepest Roots and Darkest Blues.
Very dark album, reflects on negative sides of life mainly, but still a really enjoyable album.

Orphaned Land - The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR
Enjoyable middle-eastern prog/folk metal album that has a lot of awesome guitar solos, chorus hooks and pleasing riffs. Not a great deal of the tracks really stood out on their own besides The Warrior, which is my favourite.

M83 Hurry Up, We're Dreaming.
[t]http://i1223.photobucket.com/albums/dd517/Banana_Bandit/HurryUpWereDreaming.jpg[/t]
Anthony Gonzalez doesn't just record a record of related songs. He brings you into the world of his dreams and you feel like you are experiencing the innocence of childhood again when you could just dream and imagine whatever you wanted and go into your own worlds. He put a lot of work into using different instruments, vocals and collaborations to make this album represent the uniqueness and magic that we see in our dreams. Now matter what kind of genre you like, I recommend that you turn off the lights, lay down in a comfortable spot and play this on speakers around you to feel like you are inside of the dream world that this album creates. Drugs are optional but they will strongly enhance the experience.
If anyone has listened to Hurry Up, We're Dreaming I would be interested in hearing about your experience or your opinion of the album.

What happened to my auto merge?
I'm intrigued about this shoegaze/dream pop band. Probably more mainstream than Candy Claws though.
I must acquire some progressive metal/rock.
If possible, please, not too heavy (Devin Townsend -heavy is the max).
