Ask me about my Cyber Metal fetish
I should listen to one of Herr's recommendations some time... he's put so much effort in posting and I've never heard an album. :(

What can I say. I just love this album. It's lemmy alright but it's not that motorhead cliché. This EP is the start of something big and by far one of my favourites ever. For all those who like Rock n Roll with a more smooth approach but with that sex, drugs and rock n roll posture, On Parole is a Must. Gov't Mule's "Mulennium" This is a concert recorded by Blues/Southern Rock/break-aways from the Allman Brother's Band Gov't Mule. It was recorded the evening of December 31st, 1999 and into the early morning of January 1st, 2000. The Mule played for hours and did not stop at all. In fact, one of their guests left their concert, played his own gig in a bar across town, and came back directly after his gig to play with the Mule the rest of the night. Mulennium is a 3-CD album, with the first CD being Mule songs, and a few covers (including 21st Century Schizoid Man in honor of the passing from 20th to 21st century.) The second CD is the Mule + Little Milton doing tons of songs, and on the last two, Audley Freed joins in. The third CD is some Mule, some covers, and a whole lot of rock. I'm kinda just going off what I remember from it instead of actually looking up information, but Gov't Mule brought tons of people to play with them.

apart from Tago Mago, what's the best Can album to go for?
apart from Tago Mago, what's the best Can album to go for?
Get Future Days.
Cool, I listened to their debut record and really liked it.
Band: Black Sun Aeon Album: Blacklight Deliverance Genre: Melodic Death/Doom Metal Year: 2011 Krato- I mean Tuomas Saukkonen has done it again with what is, in my opinion, BSA's best album so far! My favourite songs: Solitude (the video below) Oblivion Nightfall.
Happy Mondays - Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches Essential 90s album for sure. It's made towards the end of the 80s so you can tell, but it's one of those English albums that will forever be listened to by us. I'd rather listen to this than Morrissey.

[editline]20th November 2011[/editline] it really is a "different" album from the 60s.

((sounder)) - Good things come and go like bad things Lo-Fi experimental folk-rock. Elements of Noise-Rock in there too. I really like the lyrics and songwriting, and the overall sound of the album. I can't really think of any similar music off the top of my head, but I guess some of it sounds a bit like Dinosaur Jr. And some of it's like traditional folk (i.e. Bob dylan). I hear a bit of mogwai in there too, I think. Give it a listen sometime. Hard to come up with just one sample but this is probably my favorite track from it right now. Circle of Ouroborus - Elven Fingers On this release Circle of Ouroborus play "Synth" heavy Post-Punk. The thing is there is no synth but a guitar that sounds like a Synthesizer. Not very bassy like most Post-Punk but very much has the same feeling. Some of the early songs have sparse shrieking vocals but most are distant sounding clean vocals. Really worth a listen, hugely so if your into Post-Punk or bands like Alcest, Amesoeurs, Lantlôs and all them Post-Black Metal bands in the vain of said bands. Or just listen to this. Pretty groundbreaking album in its way. Mixed world music with electronica, and though in one listen you might not think it as 'groundbreaking', it was groundbreaking in that it was released in 1981 but predicted the way sampling would be applied in the future and how world and electronic music could be fused. One of the few albums that appreciated ethnic music at the time. Very groovable too.
