just a bunch of alt rap/hippy hoppy
If you like triphop you'd like "Tricky".
Yuck - Yuck (2011) 90s revivalism. Had to happen sometime. Pretty good stuff, definitely worth checking out.
If you like triphop you'd like "Tricky".
I actually don't care for Tricky a ton, I'm really picky with trip-hop, I love a few artists in the genre but only those few really stand out for me.
what have people been digging lately?
Apart from my normal? Whatever Contrepoison and Vatican Shadow are.
Fair enough. Maxinquaye is one of my favourites by him, but it is different to the likes of Portishead and such.
Yeah, Portishead, Saltillo, and Massive Attack are completely in a league of their own.
what have people been digging lately?
Gonna try to keep it just Stevie Wonder today.
Gonna try to keep it just Stevie Wonder today.
Which albums did you have in mind?

Enough for a separate sub-genre, NSBM, to emerge. This is the polar opposite. This is Anarchist Pagan Black Metal.
Patti Smith's Horses is awesome. I have nothing else, what to do after that?
Band: Wardruna Album: Runaljod - Gap Var Ginnunga Genre: Neo-Folk/Ambient Year: 2009 This is just amazing. Take this from a person who has grown up in and around the taiga forests of Scandinavia; This music captures the feel perfectly. Plus, it has vocals by Gaahl! Satanic Black Devotion is an album by Finnish Black Metal band Sargeist. Stylistically it borrows from the raw, icy early days of second-wave Black Metal, and seeks to convey desperate isolation and evil through the traditional Black Metal features of lovingly constructed blizzards of tremolo riffing and frantic drumming. Sargeist aren't a big name but they damn well write and perform songs like the best of them
Floex - Zorya Imagine chill ambient music with a clarinet and other woodwinds and piano. Its fucking beautiful. Floex is fucking underrated and I'm kinda pissed about it. Everyone should give this a listen: http://floex.cz/
I would recommend latest lana del rey's album!

Band: Shining Album: VII: Född Förlorare Genre: Suicidal Black Metal (or... something like that.) Year: 2011 Completely awesome album by Shining (the Swedish DSBM band, that is). Because who can't love a band lead by Swedens national creepy wierdo? Also the interesting addition of guest vocals by Håkan Hemlin of the folk-pop band Nordman.

Cause cage is straight full of emotion and his life story is fuckin insane. Everything he says is coming from a real place, pain breeds art

Band & Album: Totalselfhatred Genre: Atmospheric Depressive Black Metal Year: 2008 Just... Beautiful. Dark. Great atmosphere. Awesome instrumentation and vocals. All in all a great DSBM album!
besides the fact that it's sold more albums than any other in musical history...
That doesn't mean anything to most people. [editline]1st April 2012[/editline] The Young Gods - Knock On Wood Before I have even listened to this completely, I'm recommending it. This is acoustic guitar, quick moving and flowing which is what I like. Get this in your playlist. From what I understand, it's just acoustic versions of the songs they've done but since this is my first time I'm hearing the band that doesn't mean much to me:
