The albums name may be "Destroying Something Beautiful", but they sure succeded in creating something beautiful in the process.

pretty good new wave record, keep finding these pop gems that pretty much get forgotten.

damn good "post-disco" sound.
surprised this album is talked about so infrequently when everyone loves the weeknd so much, I only just recently heard about it and it's so good

basically if you like the weeknd and to a lesser extent frank ocean give this a try. it's got that similar hazy R&B sound with darker lyrics

Gas - Pop
really great ambient record worth hearing, it's light and has a lot of environmental characteristics.

Hum - Downward is Heavenward
Probably the most underrated band of the 90s, I havent found a song by them that I didn't like. But this album definitely takes the cake, with songs like "Green to Me" and "Dreamboat" almost perfecting the idea of simply crunchy space rock. I think their downfall was in the vocal department, but everything else is pretty damn great
Latelly I have been listening to Blues-Rock. And found this guy by accident. dont know if anyone posted this yet but here it goes.
Seasick Steve - You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

"You can't teach an old dog new tricks" is the latest album from Seasick Steve. What is trully awesome besides the music, is Seasick Steve himself. A really true modest artist if you ask me. With great powerfull riffs and rhythm he can make everyone clap their hands or stomp their foot on the ground to the beat of his songs.

A great concept album that feels like a trip into the mind of a paranoid schizophrenic.

Archive - Controlling Crowds
prog trip hop album, you probably heard "bullets" in the cyberpunk 2077 trailer
the albums pretty much all over the place too. it goes from electronica to country to rap and dgfbhsgs

At The Drive-In is a pretty rocking group. I guess the term is post-hardcore, but they're not what you'd probably associate with post-hardcore (for me, at least).
Relationship of Command is a pretty great album, lots of roots in sci-fi and Cedric's lyrics have a lot to do with space and space travel. It's loud and pretty badass.

Zatracenie by Matryoshka
I listened to this album expecting some glitchy neo-classical a la World's End Girlfriend or Kashiwa Daisuke.
Instead what I got was a very chill electronic, almost poppy album.
The atmosphere is fantastic, the vocals are great and pretty much everything about this album is top-notch.
Best of all, its completely free to download from Last.FM

Bad Books
Friend of mine showed me this album because he knew I fucking loved Manchester Orchestra. I guess you'd call it an indie supergroup?
Anyways, Andy Hull teams up with Kevin Devine and it definitely doesn't disappoint. Hull's raw energy mixed with Devine's folk melodies creates probably one of my favorite albums of all time. "You Wouldn't Have To Ask", "You're a Mirror I Cannot Avoid", and "Baby Shoes" are definitely some songs to check out.
Bad Books is awesome, I need to check out their first albums since I've only heard II

First album is better IMO. Somethin about Forrest Whittaker(?) on II didn't sit well with me lol

Band: Hypothermia
Album: Skogens Hjärta (The Heart of the Forest)
Genre: Depressive Black Metal/Blackgaze
Year: 2009
This is a good example of what I call a Fullängdssingel (Full-length single): 1 hour and 8 minutes of glorious depressive black superbness, squeezed into One song! And it's released for Free at their website!

the brazilian vibe is a bonus too, i could listen to this all day.

Awesome modern prog rock.
It's nice to see some modern prog rock that isn't just trying to rip off Yes or King Crimson again.
Brilliant atmosphere and melodies here, definitely worth listening.
