what is the point of making video games if they're not cool?

Making money, FNAF has a pretty big fanbase. I like the games for what they are, they're small and cheap but the mystery around it and the fact that you can find new clues that are part of a greater story is really nice.

Five Nights At Freddy's 2: Off The Record
I followed the first game's lore, but haven't read anything about the second at all. Can someone give me a tl;dr?
This is literally becoming the Saw movies of video games.
Im ok with that. I fucking loved the Saw movies. Stupid dumb fun.

FNAF2 is revealed towards the end to actually be a prequel taking place prior to the "Bite of '87"; turns out there were two older restaurants before the one in FNAF1. It's heavily implied that one of the animatronics introduced in 2, the Marionette, gave the other ones life. Between the original resturaunt, called "Fredbear's Diner" and the one in 2, they tried to introduce the new "Toy" versions of the original animatronic group. They get trashed at the end of 2, and the old ones are brought back and fixed up for FNAF1.
By god! THREE of the same game in the span of almost half a year? What's next? FnaF X coming January 2016 featuring Tidus?
This guy's a genius.
Market the game to furries (which by according to my artist friends are the ones that pay big bucks for commissions), and release a new game every quarter of a year.
this guy has a more consistent release schedule than telltalle's games I realize
Now we wait for Telltale to get a FN@F license.
These are essentially expansions to the original game, they're cheap and they were released so close to one another I have a hard time considering them entire games on their own.

? Freddy will remember that.
the best part is all the 12 year olds "revealing" the plot twists from the new game that they "found out" and people arguing on the steam page.
Should have been Episodic.
I had hope that we'd go interesting places with this series but nope. :v:
ur a bad businessman
I know.
There's an entire retsupurae episode hiding in those comments. Some of them are of "my laptop is full of cum" quality.
Feel free to call Scott and his games whatever you like. I am happy that he is actually making a good amount of money.
I will post the full article later, but in a previous interview, he described his efforts before the original FNaF as nothing but fruitless. The previous games were horribly underrated (and hardly sold), and he was struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts (which resulted in his life insurance being cancelled).
He made a last ditch effort at a game when he took a negative comment about an animatronic in a previous title of his, and decided to make a survival horror themed title. It exploded, and his financial troubles vanished overnight.
Are the games repetitive, and being churned out quickly? Sure, but if you poured your effort into financially unprofitable projects, only to have your final project before throwing in the towel succeed beyond your wildest expectations, you would have a hard time convincing me that you yourself wouldn't be trying to make as much money off of it as possible.
It's like FN@F but set in the stone age.
Now you're a night-shift guard at Ugga's Pizza Cavern and you have to try and stop the dinosaur entertainers from mauling you. Instead of a security tablet you have a slab with crude drawings on it.
You mean a stone tablet?
