Dang man. I gotta say, reading this made me feel a whole lot better than I did when today started. Thank you for watching and giving input too. I should play Hot Pursuit again. I don't think I spent too much time on it. I know I was excited because it looked like Need for Speed getting it's groove back.
The "Most Wanted" reboot from a couple years ago very much feels like a reskinned but soulless BP. IIRC the last Hot Pursuit was panned pretty hard for being locked to 30fps, which IMO is unbearable. Also I'm reinstalling NFS2015 cause of this vid :v: I have a racing rig now so hopefully it works well with that. I also reinstalled FH3's Blizzard Mountain xpac without issues and played it for a couple hours. EDIT: NFS 2015 is god awful on a wheel. Someone tell EA that a really heavy constant weight on the wheel != FFB. Into the trash it goes again :( It's ok on a gamepad.
Hot Pursuit 2010 is a great game, i'd highly suggest checking it out
Hot Pursuit 2010 is a great game and the last "good" Need for Speed IMO. It is what would happen if you take classic Need for Speed (i.e. the pre-Underground era of exotics in exotic locations racing against each other and crazy over the top exotic police cars), and remade them with today's sensibilities. The game had extremely well designed and balanced MP modes as well that I got a ton of mileage out of. The only thing more I could have asked was if it was somehow an open world game. Rivals is sort of an open world version of Hot Pursuit 2010, but that game felt like it was held back by the switch to Frostbite. It introduced worse physics, a worse framerate, and a dramatic downgrade in netcode. There's some cool ideas in there, and in theory it really is just an open world Hot Pursuit, but the game had so many technical problems that it just can't hold a candle to HP2010.
Need for Speed Rivals was severely disappointing. I can’t exactly remember why, but I remember distinctly being let down by that one hard. Mainly because I had played Most Wanted (2010) and it was leagues better. Problem is that the Wii U version (yeah YEAH I KNOW) had everything unlocked at the beginning for some strange reason... so I didn’t play it almost at all. I’m gonna have to catch Hot Pursuit on a sale or something.

Especially if you play it right after Hot Pursuit 2 or NFS 3: Hot Pursuit or High Stakes

They include a few car packs plus a few more challenges. The only problem I ever had with the game, was that if you wanted to play on PC, you got the best graphics you could get but no DLC whatsoever (take that with a grain of salt though, because its just DLC), or you got it on console with all the content, Xbox having the most IIRC, but with noticeably worse graphics. And imo, it kind of takes away a bit of the experience, and even the charm. HP2010 is a pretty nice looking and fluid game, and that combined with the racing experience makes it very worthwhile. On consoles, its still worth it, but its a lot choppier. Keep it up! [editline]29th January 2018[/editline]
Need for Speed Rivals was severely disappointing. I feel like the game, despite terribly flawed in some aspects, seems to work perfectly well as an action movie.
I watched footage of The Run, and admittedly it just didn’t look great. Surprising considering it’s Frostbite 2.
