Fucking damnit I was born too early.
Don't say that, you could be born 1000 years from now and still say you were born too early. You will never be born too early, history will repeat itself over and over again trust me. 500 years ago when everyone was exploring the rest of the world people were probably wishing they would live to colonize new lands. So now we are wishing we could contact Aliens, Colonize other planets, and explore space in general. It's our human nature to want what we can never achieve, and that's why we strive to advance ourselves so one day we may complete our goals. So guys be productive human beings, get out more and live life to the fullest. Because in reality life is short, and we have to make something out of the little time we have on the speck of rock we call home.
I have this ominous feeling like everything is going to go to shit within the next ~50-100 years. America losing power, China gaining power, North Korea starting shit... Doesn't seem too good.
It's really disturbing how in depth they go with the timeline. they've even got pictures of terra-forming mars.
So this is how the world will eventually come to be, according to this time line. Awfully pessimistic, but engulfed in realism at the same time.
Realism's pretty pessimistic...
Bullshit. IBM's Kittyhawk will eventually become self-aware, and then...
2200 - The World in 2200 | Poverty, hunger and disease are being eradicated worldwide yay
4001 AD - Episode 3 released.
intense. :ohdear:
Fuck, I wish I was born in like 2200.
This is awfully depressing!
You know, all these predictions saying that we'll become immortal robot like creatures, colonizing planet after planet and travelling through the universe in search for more resources sounds just too fictional. Maybe it's just me, nobody in the 16th century could have ever thought of digital watches
Reminds me of those old future predictions. Those were always so fun to read, because they were ALWAYS wrong. I'm predicting the same with this. Technological signularity makes it impossible to predict, what new technological breakthroughs we will have.
Predictions from 1900 for the year 2000. Prediction #16: There will be No C, X or Q in our every-day alphabet. They will be abandoned because unnecessary. Spelling by sound will have been adopted, first by the newspapers. English will be a language of condensed words expressing condensed ideas, and will be more extensively spoken than any other. Russian will rank second.
West Antarctica is among the fastest growing areas in the world
Yeah right
They predicted that in the 1960's we'd have flying cars. They predicted that by 2000 we'd all be wearing gas masks due to air pollution. They predicted the world would end on Y2K. etc.
I'm def. going to upload my mind into a cyborg to see what the future brings.
Oh great, I could have been born later on and become an immortal cyborg living on another planet and travelling the universe, but instead I'm stuck in a shitty chav infested town. [editline]9th December 2010[/editline]
I'm def. going to upload my mind into a cyborg to see what the future brings.
For you yourself to become a cyborg you would have to transfer your brain over. Simply uploading your personality would only create a copy of you. You yourself however would die.
What happens in Beyond 10,000000000000000000,000000000000000000 or whatever. Then a new big bang will happen.
[img_thumb]http://www.futuretimeline.net/images/universe_dark_era.jpg[/img_thumb] What happens in Beyond 10,000000000000000000,000000000000000000 or whatever. Then a new big bang will happen.
No, the universe reaches singularity, it cools, and every atom and molocule in previous existence will be floating far away among eachother never having the chance to bind back together to form another star, galaxy, planet, or grain of sand. [editline]10th December 2010[/editline] http://www.futuretimeline.net/21stcentury/2030-2039.htm#full_immersion_virtual_reality this will never happen in our lifetime. ;_;
The next 80 years looks about right, after that it's anyones guess. History has proved that pretty much the exact opposite to what is predicted usually happens.

Dont you think people like these could manipulate their viewers due to a correct prediction or two (and i doubt they even predicted it, i bet they got it from news reports or from wikipedia) and then they change them to meet their agenda.
