I don't know why you would ever want to watch TV in 2015 - especially not run of the mill Japanese TV - but the Paris attacks were (and still are) all over the newspapers, both paper and online, and every TV watcher I've spoken to already knew about the attacks when we spoke.

And no, in fact, there [i]wasn't[/i] a huge devastating earthquake that left thousands homless, missing or dead. It was a big earthquake happening in the middle of nowhere, and a tsunami warning was issued for a little while to be on the safe side, but of course nothing happened. This happens [i]all the time[/i]. If you're a Facepuncher who somehow thought there was a significant earthquake happening anytime in the last few days: this is a good opportunity to restructure your relationship with social media.

To be fair tho, almost all those attacks happen in the west of China, they have no international press what-so-ever around, they have poor internet/phone coverage and the Chinese government will deny everything if they can.

Almost all these reports about these happenings come from diplomats or underground media.
