Knock yourself out bud, was just pointing out that Manson kinda sucks. Come to think of it I could've just have wrote "Marilyn Manson sucks" and be done with it. And I wasn't aggressive at all what are you people talking about.

Manson is a joke, about as intellectual and enlightened as your average 14-year old who just read a book by Nietzsche while listening to NIN's Downward Spiral on repeat.

Musically, Manson is highly derivative and unoriginal.

If you already want to listen to music which communicates with your "dark, misunderstood soul", at least go listen to good stuff instead. Like post-punk or or noise rock or something.

nothing about Manson is even remotely original, authentic or revolutionary, and his entire act in all honesty has more in common with Britney Spears or ICP than the Clash or Iggy Pop.
Just because your wording is tame doesn't mean you're not aggressive.

it's times like these that i'm glad my dad left me at an early age.
What does Nietzsche have to do with this again?
postmodern existentialism and nihilism.
hey hey hey whats wrong with liking nin i dont listen to it on repeat all the time (mostly to get me to sleep) but still
Are we arguing about music now? E.S. Posthumus > Whatever shit you listen to.
When I start living on my own I'm going to probably dress in black and seem gothic but this guy makes it like a lifestyle holy shit. Just look at him,dog collars and make-up.What the shit?
We can argue whether the kid is an idiot or whatever, but holy shit that dad. Yeah he doesn't seem like he's in that stuff for any particularly intelligent or well thought out reason, but what kind of fucking dad would bring his son on a show and mock him on TV? I found it kind of funny how he brought out his own son's grades, shouldn't he feel a bit of shame about bad grades himself? Yet he's using those grades solely for insulting his son, it's as if he's not related to the kid at all. I don't get why you people are focusing so much on discussing the kid in weird clothing. Yes he's a bit of a moron, but the dad is not only a moron, he's also a pretty mean piece of shit?
He brought the son onto the show as a tactic of humiliation to get him to change
which never ever ever works so good job on the dad for that one!
Hmm. I guess if you consider national humiliation a valid tactic to get him to change, (Most importantly change his grades / effort in life, his appearance really shouldn't be a problem) then you've got a point. I just have an idea that a dad like that would have, y'know, been at least somewhat responsible for how the kid turned out? The dad makes it sound like his dressing style is directly related to his bad grades, whereas it could be another problem (Possibly him) that is directly related to both his grades and his way of dressing. If you thinking going on television with your kid who is already in a fucked situation is a good tactic, then you're right. I just think a good dad should have handled it before it spiralled into that situation. [editline]26th January 2012[/editline] Also, I think: If you're rebelling against your dad and "society", you're not going to change your way of thinking by having those very same people mocking you. More likely, the humiliation would just strengthen his feelings of resentment towards those people.
Ach, I got nothing against this, usually. If anything, I dress weirder when I go for a night out. The operative term here, however, is "when I go for a night out" No reason to scare people when your at the shops.
