Just got a 1070. Can confirm that this video is accurate.
So what would you guys say about a 780 not ti
Playing BF1, a buggy beta, at max settings and like 115-150 fps is a dream
That's Frostbite for you. Seems like the new standard in insanely optimized engines. Used to be Unreal 3.
Upgrading from a shitty alienware laptop to a pc with a 1070 and 144hz monitor is insane. I spent at least 10 minutes just moving the mouse around. So smooth.
How the fuck is he only getting 60FPS on Doom? My 1070 does at least 180 and never goes below that.

I can't tell if this video is serious or not because wow he gained 20fps and it only cost him $1200
The graphics card is getting severely bottlenecked by the rest of the system I also get a lot better performance than this with my 1070 + i5 4690 system (also a 1080 costs around 750 USD, not 1200)
I might snag a 1080ti when those come around. Though, the only game I've played recently that really taxes my current system is The Witcher 3, and to a lesser extent The Witcher 2 in full stereoscopic 3D.
As I understand it there isn't going to be a 1080 Ti, since the Ti is normally an uncut version of the chip, and that's what the TITAN X(P) is. They usually 1/2 the Ram from the TITAN version for the Ti version, but since the 1080 has 8GiB and the TITAN X(P) has 12, there's not a real effective way to do a 1080 Ti, on top of memory bus issues.
(also a 1080 costs around 750 USD, not 1200)
I'm looking at a gtx 1080 on amazon for $630 a good gtx 1080 be at that price.

I have a 970 and several regrets. [editline]5th September 2016[/editline] still a really powerful card but it's severely limited when i wanna do both vr and 4k gaming, as that's the life i've fallen into.
Currently using their smallest Micke, never thought I'd end up with so much space needed
the micke is good for laptops and kids rooms but terrible for tower pcs, especially if you're putting your tower on the desk. mine can fit two monitors and a tower, using this tabletop. now if you can get a jerker, follow your fucking dreams :v: [t]https://adam.pra.to/content/jerker/arp/jerker1.jpg[/t]
I love how music from SFV played for a PC master race video
I love how music from SFV played for a PC master race video
But SF5 is on PC?

Your only basis for halving the RAM is on a single titan card, whereas there are 2 cards that they did not do that on.
My 770 can handle the BF1 beta at around 60FPS more or less on high settings, I'm really impressed at how smooth it is. It's running a hell of a lot better than BF4 ever did. [editline]5th September 2016[/editline] I don't intend to upgrade until most games become unplayable for me, spending upwards of £300 just for a 10-20FPS increase just aint worth it.
That's Frostbite for you. Seems like the new standard in insanely optimized engines. Used to be Unreal 3.
have u seen id tech 6
have u seen id tech 6
I think most engines that have a history of being developed with PC in mind always seem to come out rather well. Also I think the Avalanche Engine build for Mad Max is up there as well.
I'm looking at a gtx 1080 on amazon for $630 a good gtx 1080 be at that price.
$1200 refers to Australian dollars, inclusive of 10% tax. ($910 USD)
After 8 years of gaming on laptops (7600GS ,HD5650M, GT750M SLI), playing on a brand new desktop with 1070 is really nice. No more stuttering and thermal issue my laptop was. AND MAX SETTING EVERYTHING.
I'm really jealous of you all... [t]http://i.imgur.com/6Nveb7z.png[/t]
can you play doom? On my 680, Doom wouldn't run on anything above low at 60 fps.
I can play Doom on a 660 Ti on Medium usually hovering around 50-60 FPS. There are some parts of the game where it drops down to 30 as it struggles to load some objects, but overall I'm surprised at what I was able to get out of my i5 and a friggin 660.
Basically how I felt when I got my 1070. I had a 760 before so it felt pretty amazing.
I like how all of you are describing similar experiences with going from whatever to whatever and just like... motherfuckers, I went from nVidia FX5200 to AMD 270x. In terms of dickwaving, I win this one :v: Honestly the experience of going from only graphically simple games at minimal FPS (TF2) to Crisis 2 on Ultra was actually indescribable.
im so tempted to buy a 1080 but I think i'll wait till the 2070 or whatever it will be called comes out, it'll probably be slightly better and cheaper than the 1080ti
I had a 680 previously. I honestly do not believe you.
dude ive got a 660 mobile that i keep at its base turboclock and it still plays most things i need it to that being said she still chugs in fallout 4, but thats pretty common
I'm surprised my 560 Ti is still hanging in there as well at it is tbh
wish i could buy one of these or something like it, but living on my own prevents me from buying or doing anything fun.
as opposed to living with a family to support? you're in the best case scenario man :v:
Can confirm, upgraded from a GTX 980 to a 1080 a few days ago and its fucking magical.
Oh hey, he has the same case as me [t]http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2009/02/antec-nine-hundred-two-902-review/1.jpg[/t] Funny you can recognize it simply from the fuckhueg power on button
I would get a 1080 if I didn't just upgrade to a 970 not even a year ago.
This bummed me the fuck out. I bought a 970 around two months before the 1080 initial reviews started surfacing. I have to choose between 1440p or 144Hz. With a 1080, less so. If I had waited just a bit longer, and struggled forward with my GTX 460 just a bit harder, I could be enjoying larger, faster pictures. Though 144hz by itself is quite neat. [editline]5th September 2016[/editline]
I think most engines that have a history of being developed with PC in mind always seem to come out rather well. Also I think the Avalanche Engine build for Mad Max is up there as well.
Avalanche is spooky optimised. Even the JC2 build could run on a literal potato and still look pretty snazzy.
