It's the same health system that's been in Halo's 2 and 3, and you can still live awhile without shield, you're still in a suit of armor.

Keeps the game flowing nicely. Not a lot of down time. Also it helps on larger maps where you may not have a vehicle to get around in. Meaning a vehicle based map can still have infantry fights as common.

I just hope it still takes a little bit after that.

I just hope it still takes a little bit after that.[/QUOTE] it's been that way for a while, he's using a rifle where without a shield it's one shot to the head and you're dead and 3-4 to the body i think (maybe more). with other guns that aren't a BR or DRM you can still survive quite a bit without a shield
The only thing I don't like is the lack of the old sound effects. In Reach they hit a great balance. Weapons sounded powerful, but you could still identify them by their sound alone. In Halo 4 everything just makes this boring click noise. I can understand it for unsc weapons (to an extent), but making the plasma weapons sound like that is really disappointing. I was expecting that awesome pew pew noise that covenant weapons used to make, but now it's just dull.
