I lost my Yu gi oh fairy deck and my Magic deck
I used to play magic, I'm pretty sure i have my cards around somewhere. I found them. I had a grave danger deck. Paper tiger, rock lobster and scisor lizard were the best fuckin cards, Also, my other favourite card.
Those are joke cards dude :v: They're unfair but fun as hell
Those are joke cards dude :v: They're unfair but fun as hell
I know, i had the unglued set, but when me and my friends played we would used cards from all sets.
because if you're smart, you can actually END the game
LOL! I played Portal with one of my stupid friends. He struggled to complete the first 3 challenges. Even with me giving him a walkthrough
Risk
Oh my dear god, no. Risk is a game for those who are afraid to play a game that actually requires thinking. Advanced Squad Leader takes a LOT of thinking - and The Longest Day also requires an incredible amount of foretought and planning (TLD games take several months to complete.. hope you have a lot of space on your table!). I've found that Carcassonne, although a light game, can invoke a deal of incredible thinking. Do you hinder your opponent's cities, or do you lay down that tile in order to give you space to place knights in direct confrontation? So on and so forth.
Magic was pretty good, for a while. But it outdates itself so damned quickly that you'll find all your cards and decks are redundant within a few months - and as a result, it becomes a ridiculously expensive hobby trying to keep up with everyone else that you play with.
I really don't think Carcassone is that hard, I played it with my older brother and won just by placing monasteries or whatever they were called everywhere.
i am greatly saddened for i too, have once played such card games but my local realm has an extreme disdain for these games and thus, i am sad. tear. tear.
It is not very hard to build a good deck in standard for less than 100 dollars. The people who complain are the ones that want the most expensive decks out there, not the most effective ones. I won second place in a tournament against decks that cost upwards of 200-300 bucks with a deck that cost me about 90. Maybe the people complaining that magic cards are too expensive are simply kids too young to have a job, in which case they shouldn't be playing anyway.
Well maybe it's because people don't want to spend their money on small pieces of paper with drawings on it? I learned my lesson from Pokemon, the only good card games are the ones played with a normal deck of cards.
Dungeons & Dragons!
Chess is for smart people. Magic is for people who think they are smart. Portal is for people who aren't stupid.

magic is 99% luck and 1% deck building
Comparing chess with magic ............................................
Magic, like most card games, have to much luck involved for me to call them "smart" games. I think your right with chess though. And portal, fuck most of those puzzles took me ages to figure out because I'm as dumb as a post. Most of the portal levels involved me looking them up on youtube after 30 minutes of playing with my dick.
This:
The Rubik's isn't a challenge any more, not now that the methods have been internetalised.
Hearts of Iron 2 with the World in Flames mod.
This. I can't stand month long battles and unit restrictions. ><
Advanced Squad Leader takes a LOT of thinking - and The Longest Day also requires an incredible amount of foretought and planning (TLD games take several months to complete.. hope you have a lot of space on your table!).
My dad is friends with the guy who created Squad Leader.
Zombies!!! A board game for 2-6 people, in which the players try to escape a zombie infested city. The city is not preconstructed, but rather built by the players as the game goes on. While at first it would seem that the players would work together to escape, there can only be one winner, so you must oppose the other payers with strategy as well, since you can only fight the zombies directly. No image for you, but have a link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombies!!!
Chess has seriously been done to death.... Have a look at this.... http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=84726 It is actually playable.
Magic The Gathering is a nerdy card game, Chess is easy if your not a retarted ghetto rat with learning disabilites, and Portal is one of the easiest and short games I've ever played.

Whenever some geeks were playing Magic in the cafeteria in my school I always nicked some gems or something and they always freaked out when I did that. Good times :smug:
Risk
That's less a game for intelligent people as a game for people of the same intelligence. Although I must admit the first play is confusing as shit.
I play chess, but I'm horrible at strategies. So I only win very rarely. Haha. But Portal isn't exactly for smart people. Anyone could beat it, really.
World of Warcraft is for smart people.
World of Warcraft is for smart people.
What.
