However, since I then also set my clock an hour forward due to daylight savings time, my Earth Hour didn't last very long.

In North Korea, Earth Hour happens 24 hours a day outside Pyongyang. And even then, they constantly lose electricity. So if everyone loves their environment so much, why don't they just move there?
