I hate people that use quotes from things to try to sneakily sound intelligent. It just bugs me. Stealing original ideas for your own fortune bugs me.
I don't think they're trying to sound sneakily intelligent, I think they're just throwing in a movie reference that only some people will get. :downs:
But man, I'm sorry. You should really talk to your mom about it, maybe understand her side.
I think she might be upset with him reading her e-mail, don't you think?
And chaz13, how is it not his business?? He's her goddamn child. If someone is fucking your mom while she's married its completely his business.
I agree. It's not usual to find out your mum is cheating on your dad. It isn't just any old thing, and despite what I said before, tell it to your dad. He an mum will have a nice chat with each other.
That's sad..
You should talk to your mom first... From what I can gather from that email, it may be over... And in some cases, bringing the truth to the surface is not worth the destruction of a family.
Okay people first of all. The relationship between my mother and me is a very close one, she loves me a lot. And she wouldn't be bothered by me checking her e-mail. She thought she got rid of the e-mail completely, by simply sending it to the deleted-emails folder. But she forgot to click "delete" twice. Right now, I am just giving lots of attention and love to my father. He had another wife long ago. He divorced for the same reason. And his life would be pointless if he knew, he is working for a woman that is cheating on him. All he does is work, work work. The worst that can happen is, that he could commit suicide if he finds out. I remember reading somewhere, that biologically, you cannot hide an affair to your couple. That explains, why my father, always suspected of her. While my mother would tell me "Your father is ridiculous, he must be mentally ill, you know, he is crazy, ignore him" And I actually believed that until today.
Why do all Spanish people type in caps?
It's their way of yelling since you can't speak in a written form.
why will your life be fucked up forever?
When I say I'm mentally ill, believe it.

I actually, sent this e-mail to my sister. She is much better than me on taking decisions. I wonder if she will interpret it the same way than me? But knowing her. She will see it's just a harmless e-mail. In the worst of the cases... She will know it was an affair, and will find nothing wrong with it. Knowing her....
In the worst of the cases... She will know it was an affair, and will find nothing wrong with it. Knowing her....
Would she be someone to run to your dad and tell him?

The same thing happened to me and although I stayed out of it my dad of course found out and it was a rather dark year for my family as you can imagine. I don't see why he can't just go "whatever, not my issue" and leave it be.
Would she be someone to run to your dad and tell him?
I did picture that in my mind, after sending the e-mail. I hope not. My dad ... life is too hard on him. And it can only get worse... He dedicates his life for this family. Because he gave up his old family. Imagine... if he finds out... that he failed at life to make a succesful family?

If your sister runs off to your dad let her. The fact he will know means he can move on sooner. As long as you two are still there he still has some hope.

But if our life is perfect now, should this affair be silent forever? Should this secret never see the light? Now that's a matter of what my sister will do. I hope she will come to her senses.

If he did one successful thing in his life, you would be the proof of his hard work.
Knowing you most likely translated it with google translate, It probally is really like
You're terrible at making jokes, so fucking stop.
He raised you right. If he did one successful thing in his life, you would be the proof of his hard work.
I appreciate that. My father, I just don't want him to be miserable. His goal in life, is to buy a good house for our family. And my goals, are to take him to some orchestrated concert live. He has no family left, no parents, no brothers, no cousins, no aunts, nothing. All of them are dead. Imagine if he were to lose this one happy family? Oh women, why must you do this? All I know is, my mother wont ever leave my dad. But my dad would leave her, if he finds out. I will just block that other dudes e-mail on my mother's hotmail.
It's their way of yelling since you can't speak in a written form.
They've got like two kinds of exclamation marks, aren't those enough?

Now it turns out you don't even want to exchange a few couple of phrases with me anymore? I can get over that, that I don't have you, that I can't see you, but, but but but?? Don't I even deserve a simple salutation? You're unfair, I don't want to disturb your life, I already apologized for any mistakes I may have made. We both have <incomplete> on our sides that don't deserve a mean trick/misdoing/ill turn... But it makes me feel really sad that all of the sudden, for no apparent reason at all you mistreat me... Hope that helps, OP [editline]04:15PM[/editline] Anyhow, what were you doing checking out your mom's e-mails?? That's private :/

My mother is pretty much my business. Heck, they read my historial convs, and look at my Recycle Bin all the time, and breach my privacy going through my most hidden folders. That's why I don't keep secrets! The only e-mail I cannot breach is my sister's. Actually to be honest, I registered her a Paypal, to use it myself. You know? Same with my dad. I was looking for a payment, when I saw that lonely e-mail on her deleted files. I actually wish I hadn't seen it. She knew it wasn't an e-mail meant to be seen by anybody. That's why it was on the deleted files, folder. Which makes everything more terrible.
Sounds like she's getting over whoever it's with, so you should be safe.
Sounds like she's getting over whoever it's with, so you should be safe.
Great, but still heart breaking. And probably a whole big history behind it. I've got the dude's e-mail. What can I do with it? Stalk him? Find out about where they met, etc? His face on Facebook is unusual. To think what they could have done. :/ It also looks, he had a family too.

Hope this minor 'complication' will get solved with no fuss.
Sucks to be you, man... :/
I am actually feeling very good, like if nothing like this happened. Though the shock this morning, got me quite depressed. But after going to work out, I'm feeling good. Mom will be back home, in around 2 hours. What should I do once she is back? She will only stay 10 minutes though, and she will go back to work. She works twice, during the morning and during the afternoon. I also would like to point out, a tiny, tiny but meaningful argument against accusing her of an affair. She is into looking up old ex-friends both from university (she finished a career not long ago) or her childhood. So it's not a rare thing, that she interacts or speaks a lot of " old friends". Could this one be an old friend? Though this one, seems older than her. And the words she employed are still a mystery to me.
Out of personal experience I can only say yes, yes she is.

Another tiny hope is that the name Robert, rings a bell. Like if, she has spoke about him before, or very often. But I am not sure, there are many Robertos.
