Oh and was jeff watching porn? Since the doctor said [sp]Delete your internet history[/sp]
:downsbravo:
I have to admit after watching the first episode, I didn't find the new doctor as bad as I thought he would be. I still much preferred David Tennant though :( Should be a good new series none the less.
I don't understand why everyone's saying Matt Smith wasn't as bad as they expected. Didn't anyone trust the judgement of the Doctor Who production team in picking a new Doctor?
i don't think most people thought he would be terrible, rather that he wouldn't be able to live up to tennant's standards
Agreed! Patrick Stewart would make a fantastic addition, he was great in Star Trek and his short role in Oblivion. Ooh i hope they bring the master back so much. Also what do you guys think of the new intro sequence?
WHAT, WHO? .caps
WHAT, WHO? .caps
The Emperor at the beginning
i don't think most people thought he would be terrible, rather that he wouldn't be able to live up to tennant's standards
That's basically it.
The Emperor at the beginning
Take the amulet to Jauffre. He is the only one who can help us now.

I started with Eccleston and I think he is underrated. He was a great Doctor.
Eccleston was an excellent doctor i should rewatch his series sometime
I started with Eccleston and I think he is underrated. He was a great Doctor.
Yeah I watched the first episode of the new series again after a long time, forgot how good he was. Just a shame he left so soon.
I have the first three episodes of the first season on DVD. Twas good.
Yeah I watched the first episode of the new series again after a long time, forgot how good he was. Just a shame he left so soon.
I think they originally planned it to only run for one series, but after the success they continued it on. And yes, Eccleson was a great doctor. Emotions contrasted enormously (one minute serious, next minute as sarcastic as you can get). [editline]05:51PM[/editline]
I have the first three episodes of the first season on DVD. Twas good.
Every single episode :smug:
Nothing like Tomb Raider. You never played the Tales Of Monkey Island or Sam and Max games? It's hard to explain so I'll explain as if you were playing an episode based on The Eleventh Hour. You would play Matt Smith in Leadworth. You have a vague objective but it's not entirely clear. So say it's the part the Atraxi ship comes down to earth. You know you have to grab their attention but how? You would have to go into your inventory, get the screwdriver and use it on any electronic equipment. So obviously if you hadn't seen The Eleventh Hour you wouldn't know to do that, so the games will require you to think like The Doctor.
We need a Doctor Who FPS game where you play as a Dalek.
I think they originally planned it to only run for one series, but after the success they continued it on.
I don't get that as we saw Eccleston regenerate into Tennant in the last episode. Were they going to just leave it hanging like that even if it did fail?
I think they originally planned it to only run for one series, but after the success they continued it on.
Um no.
I don't get that as we saw Eccleston regenerate into Tennant in the last episode. Were they going to just leave it hanging like that even if it did fail?
Did they not do that for the movie?
Did they not do that for the movie?
the movie has no regeneration scene. (8th to 9th)
Umm could someone make me a avatar? Like when he says "I am the doctor" part, AT the end? And text that says "I am the doctor"
Double post for epic news for aussies: So if any Australians didn't see it online, It will be on TV not this sunday, But the next. From 7:30 PM to 8:33PM.
What (Sky+ HD) channel is Dr. Who on tonight? Looking for BBC HD.
Um no.
Yes. Read RTD's book or any of the videos on the series 1 DVD. The show was only commissioned for a single series and the BBC told RTD that Doctor Who would fail. However after the roaring success of the first and second episode it got another series and a Christmas special. RTD said in the first series he tried to ram as much canon in as possible. Because even if the new series failed it would be a source for books and audio-plays for years to come. So originally it was just going to end with Tennant and Rose flying off into space. And text that says "I am the doctor"
The guy who made them hasn't made that one. But he made these: I'll request him yours.
Ecclestone was better than Tennant because Ecclestone's Doctor had flaws; he was a vengeful psychopathic maniac. I mean look at the episode Dalek where he starts trying to shoot the thing with a rocket launcher even though it's dying. Tennant was almost a Mary Sue; he saves the universe, looks pretty and everyone loves him. Smith looks like he's going to be more of an interesting character like that; at the end of the last episode he doesn't just make sure the aliens leave for now, he makes sure they leave forever and never even dare to return. [editline]11:43AM[/editline] Plus Smith obviously has flaws with leaving Amy waiting all her life like that. Ecclestone did pretty similar things (the one where he accidentally makes Rose disappear for a year springs to mind), but Tennant didn't really.
