This new episode was a pile of space whale shit.
This episode felt like a copout in terms of action and the likes (also a bit short, anyone else get this?). Daleks with British flags, Winston Churchill and that propaganda poster made me yell, "YES!" Also, I wish there wasn't some overlying arc for just the season, I'd like to see one that spans out over two or three series. They've already got Matt Smith and his female companion signed on for another series, so it could work. But hey, I can't complain. Matt Smith is warming up to me as well. He feels different from Tennant, but as good as him. Energetic and brilliant, yet deep and thoughtful.
The new episode was pretty awesome in my opinion. But that new assistant....

Agree. It helped convey emotion for once, instead of "ohohohoho smiles and laughter" from Tennant. Not to say Tennant was bad, I loved him as the Doctor, but Smith just portrays more emotion than him.
