I think you've got something (though the clocks thing was related to the prisoner zero thing.)

What?
What has a video advertising Labour got to do with any of this?
David Tennant became shit towards the end and the writing was like a soap.

If we get more zeroes in the next episode, then we can assume they're linked to the cracks.

Allegedly, this series has 17 episodes; 13 on the box, 4 on the PC as interactive games...
FINAL FIGURES FOR SMITHS FIRST ARE FINALLY IN
SMITH IS SUCCESS
Final figures for The Eleventh Hour have today been published by BARB and give Matt Smith's debut story an final rating of 10.08 million viewers.
This total is over two million higher than the initial overnight figure of 8 million which implies a large number of viewers time shifted the programme by recording it and watching it later in the week.
On BBC One the story had 9.59 million watching, enough to make the story the second most watched on the channel for the week and the fourth most watched on all British television. However an additional 494,000 people watched the simulcast on BBC HD, giving the story a total audience 10.08 million and making it the third most watched overall. It was only beaten by two episodes of Coronation Street.
The Eleventh Hour has the eighth highest rating since the series returned in 2005. If the HD figure is included it is the first episode in the programmes history to be the third most watched of the week. Only twelve out of 757 episodes have ever made the top five.
http://gallifreynewsbase.blogspot.com/2010/04/eleventh-hour-final-figures.html
Wow, Smith sets new record.
But, 2 Million recorded it. 2 fucking Million people didn't find the episodes time appropriate and watched it later. I hope the BBC realise this and start putting it on at 19:00. I record it so I can watch it later. So do my friends. Because it's 10 times better in the dark/late evening. Now I can't wait to see how many caught TBB on repeat or recorded it. I know a lot missed it.
Oh and question.

New design Daleks. You see a white one in the trailer, these are the other colours.
Glad their not gold.
Retro.
I get the retro feeling from everything this series.
The screwdriver, TARDIS and Daleks.

These are NOT for the show. But are for the current election season. It's all the parties main colours.

They seem to be shorter and fatter.

Just checked his page. He seems to be a huge fan of the series. So I'm sure he's either insulting the Moffat era or trolling.
Was anyone really disappointed in the last episode? I loved the eleventh hour, but this episode seemed horribly acted, written, and and everything in general. Didn't feel at all like Doctor who IMO. Oh well, here's hoping the next episode is better.
I mean, they used the "you're our only hope" for fuck's sake, who uses that anymore.
[editline]03:36PM[/editline]
I'm not just trying to flame and say "LOL NEW DOCTOR WHO IS SHIT", just trying to understand how people could enjoy the last episode.
i wasn't a fan of the plot in this episode, the acting was spot on though
I found the episode very confusing.
First off, what exactly are the porcelain guys for? At first when they did the whole face swapping thing/emerging from booths I thought it was pretty cool, but when it's revealed that those "winders" have the porcelain faces on the backs of their heads I was just lost. This is compounded by The Doctor calling them "half human half smiler" - are they an alien hybrid? Are the porcelain guys aliens?
Secondly, why was the enslavement of a star whale considered so terrible? I mean, ok, it was an awful thing to do, especially in light of the voluntary terms the whale came along in. But if someone showed me footage telling me we'd basically enslaved the last remaining individual of an alien species to save an entire country full of people, I wouldn't be that upset. I wouldn't be thrilled, but ultimately I wouldn't need to forget it either. I mean I'm content to have thousands of animals die to give me shoes and delicious food, so I'd really be prepared to enslave a sentient alien (or maybe even an army of men) if it meant England continued as one.
Then there were a couple of minor gripes - why would you basically build what you thought was a self destruct sequence into the space ship for a Queen? There was the idea that the Queen risked destroying the ship if she pressed "Abdicate" - why would you even have that as an option? At the end, how can we see the Star Whale's mouth if previously it had been connected to an overflow pipe? Why did the camera zoom in on that gash.
I don't know...the episode was really good right up until the bit where the people's heads twisted around. Maybe that's why there's so many questions in my mind - I got sucked in and I want answers.
Why did the camera zoom in on that gash?
They are basically the police, monitoring people's actions day to day.

No, they were pretty much self repairing robots (like the clockwork people from the girl in the fireplace). I'm guessing that 1/2 smilers were just cyborg sort of things.

I think it's the whole last of it's kind and it's completely innocent, but it has to suffer for the rest of it's life, when we should be protecting it.

They either knew that should would never choose that option, but put it there anyway to give the appearance of choice, or the had moral issues, as many people would do, to forcing an animal to suffer to continue the existence of one part of the human race.

The mouth... I don't know, it could be anything to having an inner & outer mouth, or just a production oversight. And the crack is the series arc about there being cracks in time and space.
Hope this makes sense. ;)

Both smilers and winders work for the queen, to;
A) Keep The Beast Below secret
B) Monitor her
C) Feed the beats below

Because it's dramatic to blow it up for us to exaggerate with. That's TV.

Why do video game bosses have massive weak spots?
Why do Sontarans not cover their weak point?
Why does bowser have an axe next to a bridge suspended over fire?
Why don't the Daleks just shoot the doctor instead of informing him of their plan?
At the end, how can we see the Star Whale's mouth if previously it had been connected to an overflow pipe?
The pipe wasn't covering the mouth, it was probably IN the mouth, going through his body in a place we can't see.
Why did the camera zoom in on that gash.
Did you not watch the last episode? Cracks are appearing through time. "Pandorica has opened".
Also in DWM, Moff said "It's called Victory of The Daleks. You laugh at that title and say "As if they can achieve victory". It's called victory, because they win"
