Then why wouldn't she regenderate when she dies in The Library? I mean regenerate.
Because she might not want to, or has run out of regenerations?
Wasn't the arc for this season meant to appear in every episode? I didn't see any crack.
Wasn't the arc for this season meant to appear in every episode? I didn't see any crack.
It's a two parter. The [sp]the crack will play a significant part in the next episode.[/sp].
Wasn't the arc for this season meant to appear in every episode? I didn't see any crack.
I think that because its a two parter, it only needs to be shown in one. [editline]03:28PM[/editline] Fuck ninja'd
Wasn't the arc for this season meant to appear in every episode? I didn't see any crack.
It was in the previews for the next one. Hahah ninja'd
How could thinking "human" thoughts stop him from exploding?
They said his mind was in like a proton-lock or something? I assumed that maybe whatever the memories and stuff is made of overrides the chaotic device thingy-ma-jiig.
-snip- timelines screwed me over hugely
I quite enjoyed that episode. It really brought back the suspense. I'm still wondering what the forest bit in the Next Time part was all about. Will they get warped back into the planet's distant past where there were forests? Only time will tell.
They've said the planet's been terraformed, so that would suggest that going back in time would land you in an unbreathable atmosphere. The forest thing is on the ship. Remember at the start with the bloke who had lipstick all over his face? He was standing in what seemed like a park. I'm guessing the ship is one massive virtual reality simulation of a stately home, save for a few corridors - they were throwing a party on it, after all.
I'm guessing the ship is one massive virtual reality simulation of a stately home, save for a few corridors - they were throwing a party on it, after all.
The bloke at the start was hallucinating. Next episode looks terrifying because it has angels, this one had AN angel running around that you only physically see twice for less than a second. Angels are much scarier in groups. Also, they snap necks :ohdear: Normal stone statues don't cut it. Though they are slightly scary, they still aren't evil angels. Angels are scary as they are a corrupted paragon of good. And a corrupted paragon of good who lives in the dark and snaps necks. Yeah that shit is terrifying. Oh and by the way. Your TV is now an Angel. [editline]04:12PM[/editline] Do you remember in 2005, at the start of Rose you could hear Graham Norton talking? I bet he's The Master :ohdear:
Stuff
Angels don't usually snap necks, they fucking transport you to back in time and let you live to death, making it so that your life in the present day was forgotten in the blink of an eye (literally). If you watched Blink you would know this already though
Angels don't usually snap necks, they fucking transport you to back in time and let you live to death, making it so that your life in the present day was forgotten in the blink of an eye (literally).
If you watched the time of angels you would know the angels have been snapping necks.
Well if you watched the time of angels then you would of heard the doctor say the angels don't usually snap necks
Angels don't usually snap necks, they fucking transport you to back in time and let you live to death, making it so that your life in the present day was forgotten in the blink of an eye (literally). The angles do not turn to flesh when not looked at. They are quantum. Meaning that they exist in every possible location and form when not observed. The second they are observed, they are forced to be in one location and form. That happens to be stone.
Yeah but the Doctor hinted that they needed the bodies for something. Maybe they'll make angels out of corpses? :ohdear:
They needed the bodies to communicate with other people/the doctor
They needed the bodies to communicate with other people/the doctor
But why do they need to communicate with them?
Curiously, the Weeping Angels also seem to turn into statues even when no one's looking at them, except the viewer. The viewer obviously cannot count as an in-universe character actually physically looking at the Angels. It has yet to be explained then why the Angels are locked when no one is actually looking at them. This could maybe be the show trying to break the fourth wall, between the viewer and the show: Blink did end with a warning to the viewer that any statue could be an Angel. It is possible that the angels can voluntarily freeze themselves into stone, so that they don't raise suspicion.
.....
But why do they need to communicate with them?
Didn't they say they wanted the doctor to know something? Like, to feel bad because he betrayed them or something. The one as "angel bob" says "The angels wanted you to know... You said (whatever he said)" and then something about it being a lie
I keep on thinking River is the doctor, I mean, She acts just like him
I think she's a Timelord ( or Timelady as the doctor who wiki refers to them as ) Also, if you watched the trailer for Flesh and Stone, it makes you understand WHY it is called Flesh and Stone because [sp]Amy is turning into a weeping angel, ( or she may just be turning to stone ) but it's her flesh turning into stone, so yeah. [/sp]
*Stuff about them freezing when the audience sees them*
It's probably just and artistic choice on the part of the directors, and a damn scary one at that. And I'm glad that Stephan Moffat cut his usual "Nobody gets killed" bullshit he normally does. I think he made the Angels kill to stop the audience thinking "why doesn't the Doctor just go back in time and save them".
BBC have issued a formal apology: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8642854.stm
BBC have issued a formal apology: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8642854.stm
Good, hopefully they'll not do it again, it was really timed badly, ruined the immersion for me. It's the first time an advert like that has annoyed me too.
But if they exist in every possible location when not seen you should see them as they are everywhere and and :psypop:
To make it simple, they have control over the general area that they are in. In quantum physics, a particle could be at any location at any time, but it might still NOT be somewhere. Only when observed is something defiant. So there may be a soundless rhino behind you, but you would destroy it the instant it is looked at due to the last time you seen that location, it was not there. Look for Schroedinger's cat in wikipedia. It helps. [editline]12:34PM[/editline] I should also add that this effect can only happen in a small scale. Do not go crazy over invisible rhinos that might stab you. And take note that it can not talk to you. If it does, don't take it's advice.
Well if you watched the time of angels then you would of heard the doctor say the angels don't usually snap necks
Um, so? Thats what he said. Stop being so pedantic, christ.
This episode owned so much, back to Doctor Who's good old style of terrifying kids everywhere. Loved it, especially Amy blinking each eye seperately in the room.
They needed the bodies to communicate with other people/the doctor
No they only needed one for that. They are using them for something.
