By the way, I went to see Iron Man 2 today and before it started there was this awesome advert for Doctor Who where the Doctor and Amy are lying on the grass then they fall into a wormhole or some shit full of all their enemies, then they appear back on the grass and the Doctor's like "so where do you want to go?". Anyone else see this? Doctor Who looks awesome on the big screen :buddy:

I remember seeing that before the series started as a teaser on BBC 1.
Also, does anyone else think that the original Blink episode was better than this two parter? I thought it was more interesting to see regular people fighting with the angels than the doctor and all the clerics and such.

Kinda, a bit... but they were both good in their own way.
However Silence In The Library still scares the crap out of me.
I have a feeling every episode with River Song will be scary in some way.
Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead- Vashta Narada, very creepy
Time of Angels/Flesh and Stone- Weeping Angels, scary
And actually, BOTH species use the dark in some way. The Vashta Narada move around in the dark and make shadows appear, the Angels move when they aren't seen/in a completely dark room.

Have been wondering if River Song is a regenerated version of the Doctors Daughter, since the daughter is part time-lord would make some sort of sense. Maybe.

Blink was scarier.
But this was such a better story. Watching back Blink, it is predictable about 15 minutes in, you know the format and you know how it's gunna turn out. Moff said it was written last minute in a rush. And after the third watch it really looses the magic. I can and have re-watched these two. So much more interesting in a two parter.
Seriously, that was weird but also hot. But also seriously I'm putting down £10 now that the vampires are actually unevolved angels.
The Weeping Angels evolved near the beginning of the universe.
The vampires are not in any way or form the unevolved angels
- Taken from the Doctor Who Wiki
The Great Vampires were from the Dark Times inspired vampire legends on Earth. (DW: State of Decay)
When Humans were transformed into Haemovores, they became vampire-like. (DW: The Curse of Fenric)
Plasmavores behaved like vampires. (DW: Smith and Jones)
Axos was "a space-vampire". (DW: The Claws of Axos)
The Three Who Rule were once Humans who were made vampire-like by the Great Vampires. (DW: State of Decay)
Other vampires existed in Venice. (DW: Vampires of Venice)
I'm still watching this but I'm glad they've explained that Christmas episode with the giant Cyberman and why nobody remembered it. I immediately saw that as odd when I saw it.
The time crack is an awesome adversary.

when was it mentioned that nobody remembered that i can't remember :v:
I was praying it would go ahead.
It would be just wrong on so many levels, it's the night before her wedding, he regards her as a friend, not to mention the age gap and the fact that he isn't human.
I did think Matt Smith lacked maturity in this scene, I know he's young in real life but the doctor is 909 and has been in similar situations many times before. He should know how to say no firmly and with authority.

Each new doctor is a new personality, even with knowledge this guy seems slightly less "with it". Plus it obviously caught him off guard.
when was it mentioned that nobody remembered that i can't remember :v:
Well it was more the fact that it was never mentioned. It was kind of important, a giant steam robot rampaging through London, destroying buildings and killing god knows how many people... Visible for miles, you know - that sort of thing.
I think it was even possibly before Queen Victoria, and the British Government's first real encounter with aliens in that werewolf episode and the foundation of Torchwood.
In this episode it's mentioned by the Doctor at some point when the giant time crack has appeared. He said the Duckpond without ducks, the Daleks and the Cyberking in Victorian London.
I really don't understand the whole duck pond thing, can someone explain?
Things (ducks) disappearing from time, but the name 'amy pond' can't be a coincidence, so the whole time thing somehow involves her.
They turn into stone I believe... And bullets don't mark them because, as a guess, they are really powerful creatures.
They're just statues when they're being observed.
Yeah, but he said they were made of wood or something, so i was just quickly saying
I really don't understand the whole duck pond thing, can someone explain?
It's as simple as asking yourself this:
How can it be a duck pond if there aren't any ducks in it?
It's definitely making an example of things disappearing from time.
