I wish Simon Pegg was the new doctor...
considering he had a big role already on the series it would be unlikely. But not impossible. Colin Baker was in the series before he was the doctor. And Paterson Joseph was offered the role and he was already in the series. Look at this man. The fact he was forced to turn down the role because he was filming at the time really annoys me. I heard he really wanted the role too. Oh well. Maybe Doctor 12. Imagine him in a log red pirate coat, frilly shirt and trousers. The original 11th Doctor clothing. Would have been awesome.
Hmm, a black Doctor eh? It would be done purely for political correctness, as would a female Doctor. I'm not against a black or female Doctor, of course. But I'm sure many people would be for one reason or another.
6 hours fuck [editline]01:13PM[/editline] actually 5 hours bigger fuck

The Doctor is a man, surely time-lords have genders. But skin colour can change if hair colour can.
A female doctor would be strange. It wouldn't work.
He is a time LORD, if he were a woman she would be a time lady. Time lady doesn't have the same ring as time lord either..
I might make a thread in GD for the debut of Doctor Who so this gets more attention. Rate agree/disagree.

Donna was good because she wasn't just a sexy 20something year old with no personality - she actually stood up for herself and did things for herself, not just "doctor pls save meeee I love you" like Rose,

She was from a rough background and didn't know anything yet we saw her develop as she travelled with the Doctor. [editline]03:02PM[/editline] Talk about lack of consistency if anybody hasn't noticed it, but didn't we see the windows BURST in the End of Time with fire coming out the window? Why does it seem that in the opening scene of The Eleventh Hour the windows are repaired?

[editline]03:14PM[/editline] Are there actually any black Time Lords?
Are there actually any black Time Lords?
I don't think there are
Are there actually any black Time Lords?
Yes, you can see some in the Gallifrey scenes in the End of Time.
Yeah there were a couple peppered around in end of time and sound of drums.
Link? Also it isn't on in Aus yet. D:
I have chrome so I used an extension called Proxy Switchy, (Foxy Proxy for FF) install that and go to this page for a list of good proxies.
Only 1 hour 10 minutes to go!
Only 1 hour 10 minutes to go!
Does anyone know how long after the episode airs it will be up on BBC iPlayer? It says soon after, but that's a bit vague for my taste.
It's usually 30 minutes - 1 hour after the episode finishes.

I lol'd hard. I know throughout the series Amy is going to be frightened to death and 11 will be running around being crazy. Like this. Can't wait.

Currently, all day, Classic Who is on Sci-Fi. It's got another 4 hours left before they have a movie at 10.
Is River Song human? Jack isn't. I wonder.
Jack's pretty much human, or at least was, which more or less counts as human, but he'd probably be best classed as an "Immortal" or something, although I doubt that you could gain his immortality by decapitating him. After all, he came back after being blasted into thin gruel, so there's no way he can die. But back on topic, Jack's still human in biology, but he's definitely immortal (but not related to Connor McLeod), and i'm pretty sure he's the only one. (Why i'm comparing Jack Harkness to Highlander is beyond me...) But on a more informative note, we've half an hour left until the new series. Hopefully it'll be awesome enough to drag me off the PC for about an hour each Saturday again.
When is the new episode going to be on BBC Iplayer then? Jack is human, but he is on another plane of existence. When Rose brought him back, he shifted over to a new universe, but is able to interact with ours. With this interaction, he is slowly shifting over to our universe, so that explains why the face of boe ( Jack ) dies.
It's usually 30 minutes - 1 hour after the episode finishes.
Most excellent, thank you. It starts in 10 minutes, and I've got to run some errands today, once I return it's Dr. Who time!!!!
Hopefully they change the "sad" song to something less boring.
Few minutes left!
And it begins.
